This morning after my breakfast of piggy chow and Cheerios I was reading the newspaper… You know catching up on the current events. While reading the paper, I had a cup of coffee that looked kind of like this. That started me thinking. Wouldn’t you love to go to your neighborhood coffee shop and order a cup of joe like this? Wouldn’t it make you smile? You would think of me, wouldn’t you? It takes a very talented barista to pull this off and make coffee look this good. Maybe Starbucks needs to add it to their menu. Mom would definitely order it.
Having this cup of coffee made me think of the different changes in the world. What if… Let me stop laughing… What if the roles were reversed and mommy stayed at home and I went to her worky place? I think being a pig I could fit right into the mix. It might work. Let’s really think about it shall we.
Mommys computer has dual monitors. I’m not sure what that actually means but it sounds exciting. Mom says she types a lot all day long and plays with numbers. Now I can’t type the 100 plus words a minute that she does cause you know she has 10 fingers and I only have 2 hooves but I can try. And playing with numbers, well I’m not so good at that but it should be interesting in payroll and monthly STATs that she does. Ok well maybe going to work wouldn’t be a good idea.
Then I started thinking about the animal store called Petco. Have you been there? They have a cat and dog buffet bar that the humans can fix for them. Petco, I have a complaint with that. Why can’t you make a piggy buffet bar? Just saying.
March 7 is NATIONAL CEREAL DAY.. you know breakfast cereal. Did you know that cereal is the most convenient form of breakfast? It’s quick and easy. Get a bowl, pour cereal, top with milk and enjoy! And, there’s so many different kinds of cereal out there! You can add fruit to it. You can top it with nuts or raisins. You can top it with granola. You can even add honey, maple syrup or crushed fruit. However you eat it, it can be a delicious way to start your day or end your day.
Now, I know this is going to be hard to believe but hang with me for just a minute. That pig – you know the one they call Bacon on this blog. This is a picture of his piggy chow in his breakfast bowl that he gets every morning. Do you know what the little oinker has on top of his piggy chow? Anyone – anyone at all? Cheerios! Can you believe that?! Even Bacon will be enjoying this day like all others with a topping of Cheerios on his piggy chow. He doesn’t care what kind, he likes them all! Regular, chocolate, banana nut, multi-grain, dulce de leche, peanut butter – all of them!
I mean think about it. Cheerios are not just for the heart conscious adults – it’s for the little man too. He has to watch his heart and health so he can be here for a very long time as well. Bacon and his mom eat their Cheerios together every morning… of course his mother doesn’t have piggy chow added to hers which is good to know.
So on this National Cereal Day, enjoy a nice bowl of cereal – perhaps even Cheerios and think about the little pig.
Dear Bacon – Summer really stinks. It’s totally hot and uncomfortable. All I can do is stand in front of the fan and let the breeze overtake me. I just have to do something to cool me down. Signed Flappy

Dear Prissy – First off – you look adorable in your little outfit. Your face doesn’t *look* like you’re enjoying it but hey if the humans are happy, right? Second off – Houdini is a fussy little character. He is strictly a mommy’s boy and I just don’t see him letting me ‘dress’ him. I on the other hand let mom dress me up from time to time. Like you said, it makes the humans happy and smile. That’s our jobs!

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents? I was pretty scared at first but I quickly warmed up after I realized all mom and dad wanted to do was cuddle and I LOVE cuddling!
I was nervous at first but I quickly warmed up to them after Mom gave me a belly rub and dad gave me treats. Now all I want to do is cuddle and chase them around. I love them so much!

What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home? When I was allowed to cuddle on the couch like the meowing and barking creatures. Mom even gave me my own blanket to cuddle with on the couch and she gave me my own castle!!!
When I arrived home for the first time and I saw the giant yard! I used to live in an apartment with the first family I was with. I couldn’t run around, but now I do and I LOVE IT! I love to chase and be chased by my brother Dexter. I’m trying to be friends with the cats but they aren’t fans of me just yet.
What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? I can only mention ONE?? The earliest one I can think 
of was when I was about 3 months old. I REALLY wanted to cuddle on the couch with mom but she refused. I even politely (mom says I was screaming) asked my grandma if I could cuddle with her, she said no too. I got pretty upset so I decided to take a stack of papers that was on the coffee table shelf and carry it across the room. Mom was upset and chased me away at first but then after a while she laughed and let me cuddle.
What are you talking about? I’m a perfect angel!! I never EVER pee on the floor, or scream at the top of my piggy lungs in order to get attention.
Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? I have both of them wrapped around my hoof. Dad gives me treats throughout the day and mom gives me belly rubs as I’m drifting off to sleep. There are some times when mom and I will have a fight but at the end of the day she always returns to rub my belly. My plan is working perfectly. PLOL!
Psh, everyone caters to my every need…I’m the baby!
What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you? That pigs are messy. Yes we roll in mud, but it’s to keep cool as we eat grass. Yes we like to rip up paper, but that’s to line our beds and to show the paper who’s boss. Another one is that pigs smell…well I don’t know who doesn’t smell after a burp or fart, and for the record my burps and farts smell like roses. And as a mini/teacup pig, people think I’ll always fit into a teacup or purse….I am proud to say I have a healthy 50 pound figure. You can try to put me your purse (please do, so i don’t have to walk) but it will probably break..your back!
Just like my brother said that we will always remain small and that we don’t get attached too our families. I was abandoned before my new mom and dad brought me home. I was extremely attached to my first family and when they left me I was extremely depressed because I missed them. Now I’m so much happier with my new family with lots of brothers to play with.

You have got to be kidding me. Those were the exact words I told mom and dad this past weekend when I saw this picture. Are you asking yourself what is this fried delicacy here in the south? Before you get to licking your lips too quickly, remember me? You know the cute little piggy that blogs okay.
This southern delicacy is – are you ready – fried bacon… literally. Fried Bacon. I’ll give you a minute to wrap your mind around that. Now quit looking at me like that. I’m not that type of bacon… you know food. Snorts. I’m the cute wiggly my tail and blog kind of pig.
Now have you ever had this? Of course you know my dad jumped right in and started stuffing his mouth with it. He says that it was pig heaven. Rolls my piggy eyes. Yep that would be my daddy. The monster. Snorts with piggy laughter.

I absolutely snorted and rolled around laughing so hard when I found it.
I had to show it to mom and dad and they also got a kick out of it. Mommy told me I had to put in on here in hopes that all of my friends get a great chuckle from it as well.
mmm – I’m kind of craving chocolate chip cookies myself now – I wonder why? Snort
Evil purrs and meows friends – the little oinker left his blog page up again so here I am. The King of the Hotel Thompson. The one in charge. The one that rocks this Hotel and keeps everyone in their place. Sir Hemi – you may call me your majesty – purrs.
The little pig left his administrative page up so I thought I would have a little fun with him and mom. It seems these days, if you find mom here, you find the pig and vice versa. In fact, some days the pig is worse than the dog and sticks to mom like glue. You should see him following her around our humble abode snorting and oinking like he’s in charge. It’s utterly ridiculous. Us cats are regal and would never humble ourselves to that kind of activity.
But since mom and the pig are inseparable – rolls kitty eyes – I thought I would have fun with them. I turned mommy into a piggy and Bacon into well – moi. I love the changes – what about you? Maybe this will teach the oinker from not leaving his blog up and unattended 🙂
