Bacon’s Show and Tell – Mark Your Calendar

This past week was awesome on everyone’s Bacon’s Show and Tell highlighting toys that you wanted as children but never got.  Thank you so very much for everyone that participated – ya’ll are the best!

Mark your calendars for Friday, August 29, 2014, to have our next Bacon’s Show and Tell.  This time though, let’s highlight toy that you really loved as a child and absolutely could not live without – that you had hours and hours of entertainment playing with.  You don’t have to still have it but try to find a picture of it to post and talk about.

Monkey Man Has Done it Now

20140727-032323-12203570.jpgMonkey Man has done it now – he has climbed into the front seat of Albert and tried to make an escape – snorts.  Personally, I think (1) he needs to buckle up – safety first Monkey Man and (2) his feet although long don’t touch the pedals.

How would you feel if you were in a shopping center or parking lot and walked beside a small car like Albert and saw Monkey Man in the drivers seat?

Actually, he was left in the front seat by mom/dad.  He usually sits in the back area with me when I’m in Albert.  But mom/dad went grocery shopping and had a lot of bags in the back cargo area.  Therefore, daddy had to hold Monkey Man all the way home in his lap.

Then again, maybe that is funnier than just seeing him in the front drivers seat.  Him sitting on dad’s lap in the Smart car – snorts!

Treats – It’s a Pig Life

Any time I get treats, it’s a good day for me.  Mom went to the market this past weekend and bought me all kinds of treats to stock me up.  She *always* brings me back something good to eat.  This week was no different.

When mom and dad go to the market, afterwards they bring all of these grocery bags into the kitchen.  I get to watch as they put everything up knowing that I have stuff too.  After everything is put away, mom usually takes my things and cuts everything up in one day.  She puts them in buckets in the refrigerator.  This is where me, the sous chef, comes in to play 🙂  She will give me tasty little morsels to try.  And trust me, they are so good!

After she cuts everything up (usually carrots, celery, watermelon or some other fruit and my salad mix), she will fix me a bowl as a snack.  Today’s menu consisted of grapes, Goldfish and watermelon rind.  I’ve tried watermelon before but someone told mom that pigs like the rind as well.  Whoever you are you sweet dear person for telling mom this, I love you.  It is delicious and I’ve been eating every since!  Good thing mom’s dad doesn’t have a garden anymore.  I would be in hog heaven and never leave!  Snorts

Mom and dad let me eat on my food carpet in the front room. So in this picture don’t fear the “dirty carpet”, it’s my feed mat.  They pick it up and wash it every week.  As you can see, I am chomping down on that watermelon rind.  Mom took this picture of me in mid chomp.  I usually will eat what I like the most first.  Of course, it was the rind.  I couldn’t get enough of it.  You bite into it and the watermelon juice actually squirts inside of your mouth.  That’s my favorite part.

I guess you can say I’m a little spoiled.  Not a lot – just a little.  What do you think?  What’s your favorite treat?
