Sometimes one just needs to steal a jacket and get comfy for a nap. Mom was working. I wanted to play but I was sleepy. So I stole her jacket and settled down for some shut eye. Hey, a dog has to do what a dog has to do in these times, right? And can you tell I need a trim as mom calls it? Sure mom – go ahead and call my groomer. I *need* a day at the spa. It’s hard being a dog sometimes…barks with puppy laughter. Bring on some TLC, massages and smelly oatmeal bath. Calgon take me away!
A day all to myself – International Bacon Day 2015!
A celebration of bacon – the pig – moi. Okay so maybe *I* won’t celebrate today like some humans or other anipals but I will celebrate my day. I mean how many people have a holiday for them – BACON DAY? Snorts – bring on some fun my friends!
Today, I will be HAMbassador of this day. This is me getting my “hams” massaged by mommy. Noticed the smile on my face. I’m as happy as a pig in mud. No, wait a minute. What does that saying mean? “As happy as a pig in mud”. Isn’t that dirty and messy AND outside? Why would I be happy dirty and messy and outside? That doesn’t make sense. Let me rephrase that. I’m as happy as a spoiled rotten miniature pot bellied pig that stays inside and has his own room and his own television and his own bed. There – that’s more exact, you think? Snorts.
On this day, I proclaim it’s me day. I shall do nothing. I shall be cuddled. I shall be loved. I shall be waited on hand and feet (literally). I shall be fed grapes off of a stem. I shall have control of the remote control. I shall do no wrong.
uum… wait a minute. I get all of that every day, not just today on my special day. Let me rethink real quick. Okay I got it. Let’s celebrate this special day with all of our special friends here! All hail Bacon Day!
Happy Friday my friends!! Didn’t this week seem like the longest week EVER!? Maybe it was because last week was a short week due to the holiday. I’m not sure but I’m ready for the weekend and some mommy time. What about you my friends?
I thought I would give you an update on the little guy here – Houdini. He’s growing like Kudzo – snorts. I do believe he is a little over 6 pounds now – can you believe that? Notice this picture to the left of little Hoo-Hoo laying down.
Mommy just loves the way he lays down with his back feet out behind him. I do that at times as well. Rolls piggy eyes – she has a fit over us when she sees us like this. I have to admit that he does kind of look cute. But don’t let his cuteness fool you. He does have a mean streak. You’re saying No Way. Let me present to you exhibit A.
Mouse Girl was minding her own business on the couch. Houdini thought she needed a massage. Sweet huh? Mouse Girl didn’t think so. She let him do it for a while… and secretly I think she liked it until mom and dad noticed. Then she started howling like Houdini was killing her. Really? MG makes like 3-4 times Houdini’s. But hey I gotta say – look at Houdini’s tail – Now *that* is the cutest thing I’ve seen in some time. And when he wags it – OMP! Mommy says it goes 90 miles per minute. Reminds me of someone else who knows how to work their tail… looks innocently.

And I have to admit that I am so glad that Houdini is here at the Hotel Thompson. Thank goodness mommy has someone else to dress up other than this piggy now. This is Houdini in his Thanksgiving pajama onsie. And nods head yes… that is a teddy bear on his butt. Shakes piggy head – better him than me – THANK GOODNESS.
Snorts – so there you go for your Houdini update. He’s growing. We are all getting used to him more – especially Mouse Girl. I think she has taken to the little guy and kind of caters to him like he’s her baby. Sweet huh?
Okay, this little oinker is going to have to drawy the line somewhere or get on the bandwagon. First it was Mouse Girl going to the Spa and now it’s Albert? Albert mom’s Smart car. Really?
Mom even took pictures of the entire ordeal and brought them back to show me. Can you believe this?
You don’t see Albert in the picture to the left? Look closer. Behind the big car, to the left, behind the wall. You see it now hiding back there in the rear of the car spa. Shakes piggy head. I’m so not believing this.

Then after it gets done in the inner sanctum of the spa getting ‘detailed’, it comes out to get sunned. You’ve got to be kidding me. You see there in this picture to the right? Keep looking over all of those ‘average’ sized cars. Keep going… Albert is on the end getting sunned.

Then a couple of guys come out and gave Albert a massage and wiped off all of the sweat from the wash. This has got to be a nightmare.
Mom, have you gone off the deep end? Albert going to the spa now? Am I missing out on something? Do I need to demand my day at the Spa with all of this extra TLC treatment? I just don’t get it. Can you someone please explain this to me. Anyone.

Then Albert comes home and backs up in the driveway of the Hotel Thompson like he owns the place. Look at how shiny he looks. What am I going to do my friends?
Any suggestions? Please help. I feel like I’m missing out on something big.
Mommy can touch me in a certain place on my side and BAM I’m down for the count like a wrestler in the ring. I’m a sucker for a good belly rub and piggy massage. I can’t help it. Could you?
Tonight I got something more. I’m not sure if I enjoyed it or hated it. I should have known that something was up when both mom and dad sat on the floor and called me over. I went over reluctantly.
Mom touched my sweet spot on my side and I fell over like a sack of potatoes. She started with small strokes down my side and went up under my double chins 🙂 I couldn’t help it. It was silently hypnotizing me into a peaceful place.
That’s when things switched up. Dad started petting me. Mom started touching my hooves. This was new, getting a double massage. It felt so good that I didn’t care.
Then I started hearing this metallic clip clip sound. It was coming through a dark tunnel of my hypnotic state. Mom was still holding my hooves, different feet here and there. I just couldn’t place what she was doing.
I was down for probably around ten minutes before my attention span was gone and I had to get up. Mom gave me some treats and said I was a good piggy. She said that she has started my manicure and pedicure. It didn’t hurt. She didn’t get to trim them all but she said she would work on them again some more tomorrow.
Man it’s a lot of work to keep looking this good!
So some people ask me how good does that piggy massage feel? Does it really feel good? Well yesterday I had two of them. Usually it’s just one in the morning but mom gave me another one before bed to help me sleep. How good does it feel? A picture says a thousand words.
