On January 1, 2015, I shared with all of you my friends about the story my mom wrote on living with disabilities. You can read about it here if you missed it. It was really something that comes close to our hearts here at the Hotel Thompson. We deal with problems every day that have now become second nature to us. Congratulations to your mom for getting her article published. It was very well-written but I am a bit disappointed that the paper did not recognize your mom with a credit.

How did the newspaper find out about your article? Did someone contact you? Very neat to see it published, it was a really good article!

aaww – snorts 🙂 I’m still trying to get more copies of the newspaper itself. Thanks for your kind comments. Mommy said that she *had* to write this article because she got frustrated one night when her and dad went out. She was so frustrated, she typed it out in like ten minutes. She then calmed down and tweaked it. She contacted the editor of the paper and the published it. She might be doing some more 🙂 XOXO – Bacon

Your mom wrote a great article. BRAVO! I had no clue how much things will be different or nearly impossible (like to walk alone through a bathroom in a restaurant, I so agree!) if you are visually impaired. We better don’t try to close your eyes and walk through my crib… Guess what? Your dad is a hero! And your mom too!

This is so well deserved:) You are very blessed to have such awesome parents! I have a 93 years young neighbor that has a eye disease that slowly takes vision (can’t spell it right now) the only way you know about it is she has to very close to see your face.Heck she comes and picks her own greens.Amazing to me that with people can have such huge spirits.I do not know if could be so strong..Tell Mom to write more for us.Your Alabama fan.PS one little problem: her food blog makes me drool 😉
