DON’T FORGET – REMINDER!
Hey my dear sweet friends. I was recently talking to my friends at Nikitaland about paying it forward. This is something that stemmed from mom’s article that she wrote on living with disabilities. If you missed that article, please read it here. It is well wroth a read!
Paying it forward is is something that we want to start in the new year of 2015. You know the old saying of, “Do onto others as you want them to do onto you?” Well, let’s put it in action in 2015. Every month on the first Wednesday of the month, I’m going to host Pay it Forward with my friends from Nikitaland.
Paying it forward is simple. You do something for someone out of the blue, not asking for anything in return just because you can. It’s little things that count. Karma comes around for all of us.
Here are a few examples:
Pay for the person behind you at a drive thru – could be as simple as a cup of coffee or breakfast.
Help someone take their groceries to their car at the grocery store.
Give extra as a tip to your waiter/waitress.
Visit a elderly neighbor and spend some time with them. Read to them or bring them lunch. Listen to them as they talk.
Pay for the person behind you at a toll booth.
Put money in a parking space for someone whose time is getting close to expiring.
Make a donation.
Cook lunch or dinner for a neighbor in need.
Offer to babysit for free to a couple who needs a night out.
See, it’s the little things that count that make the most. Just being there for someone to see their smile can bring great karma your way. So in the new year of 2015 – let’s Pay it Forward.
You have an entire month to Pay it Forward. Do little things. We will meet back here on my blog on February 4, 2015 to post about what we have done and how we have touched someones life in 2015. I hope this inspires you my friends ❤
National Corn Chip Day

January 29th is mandated as National Corn Chip Day! Corn chips are right up my alley if you know what I mean. Who can turn down a good chip? Can you believe that 50 years ago (way before this journalists time), few Americans even knew what corn chips were? That’s amazing to me. Today, we can’t imagine life without those tasty little morsels. They were first marketed in 1961 and have been going strong since.
So, in honor of today being National Corn Chip Day – go out and eat some chips… with salsa… with dip… plain… with a friend… yeah, I know the pig is going to get his share! I think I even heard his humans saying they were going to put corn chips in their chili for dinner tonight. Now *that* does sound lip smacking good!
