I’m back! Hi my friends – it’s Journalist Rocky the Squirrel here. I’ve been out on holiday since October. You know – busy, busy, busy collecting the nuts for the winter for my family. Did you miss me? I hope so. I’ve got some great articles coming up for 2014 concerning all of the unique holidays that you probably didn’t know existed.
Today, January 3rd, is a special day. It is the Festival of Sleep Day. I think today is a day that we can all wrap ourselves around and snuggle down for some rest. The holidays are far behind us now. All of the rush is done with and it is time to get plenty of rest. Take you a power nap, hibernate for a few hours, sleep in before work, doze while reading a book – just get plenty of rest!

Well done, R. Sleep is in order here today. It’s kind of blizzard-y outside. I will exhaust myself hopping through the snow and then hit the couch. This day came just in time!!

Oh my – we so can’t take the cold here at the Hotel Thompson. My kind – chitter chatter – prefers the warmer weather. On the other paw, I have stored lots of nuts in our tree homes for the winter – bring on the food. Journalist Rocky

I wish I could take a squirrel nap as I usually get up at about 5 in the morning. It`s not voluntary, I live across the road from a police station and they make more noise than a night club turning out.
