Welcome my friends to our weekly issue of Journey with Friends.  This is a time that we come together for support, for encouragement, for fellowship – all with one single goal in mind – to live better.  Welcome to our journey to share our goals and our accomplishments and our disappointments and frustrations.

Hello sweet friends.  Here we are at the beginning of 2017.  A new year for a fresh start in the right direction.  This is going to be our year – I just know it!  I was off last week which gave me plenty of time to prepare everything for my new way of living.  All junk food and sugary snacks have been evicted from the Hotel Thompson.  The key thing is going to be preparation and me keeping  stress at bay.  We got this.

So today I will leave you with my start pictures.  In a couple of months, I’ll show a comparison.  Who is with me on this adventure? ❤️

    Pictures are a good idea. Speaks a thousand words and all that….. Good luck. The mind is a powerful thing. You’ve got the right mindset, so that’s a great start.

    I’with you but, while I do need to lose weight, it is motivation to exercise that I need most.

      You know – my sister got me an Apple i-Watch for Christmas. I LOVE IT! It has the fitness program on it. You have to meet your goals everyday. It reminds you to get up and move. I so need that! So far, it’s absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend it.

        I have something called “Misfit shine” or somthing like that. It did nothing for me and now it is buried in a drawer,

        Lowers head. I had an imitation Fitbit. It lasted two months and died. This is so much better!

    Designate a cheat day;for every month when you can eat whatever you want guilt free. Otherwise, you may feel deprived. I find that completely eliminating things only makes me want them more.

      Yes. I am so putting that into plan. Thanks for that tip reminder. It’s a day by day lifestyle but it’s happening!

    Love your hair like that! To get rid of the bad food, did you make your hub unit eat it? Somehow I can picture him and Bacon “helping” clear the fridge! 🙂

      You know us too well! LOL – Yes they helped. And YES the hub unit is now on this with me. If I have to do the cooking, he has to eat it. Therefore he is now eating this way too – snickers. Don’t you love how this works.

      Saturday night I went through the entire home and tossed all bad foods – sugars, sweets, chips, etc.
