Today, January 21st, is a great and wonderful day my fellow friends.  It is Squirrel Appreciation Day.  I can tell you – today is *my* day.  Today, you should appreciate us tree climbing, entertaining, nut gathering neighborhood squirrels.  Being a squirrel can be hard.  Some of us give others a bad name.  They are the ones that eat food out of the feeders, eat some veggies in your gardens and chase/tease your pooches.  Then there are squirrels like me who are highly educated, have families to take care of and bring your enjoyment and education.  Focus on us great squirrels for the day.  Heck, give us some nuts, a little hand out, or wave at us from time to time.

it’s me da Phenny… and today I can greet you from my regular spot…

… yes… the dad buzzed off to sing on da street for getting the 45 speedster-bucks together… butt if you ask me he will come home with no money butt with another fine for sound pollution…

butt now to the really impawtant things… guess who came to our crib today? It was the post(wo)man who gave me three things…

…a card from Purrince Siddhartha and Lady Mum Sherri-Ellen… so many thanks for your kind words….

and then I’ve got two boxes…

I opened them immediately… the first one came from my grandparents… there was stuff inside the mama  bought with  squeezed out of  her pawrents … butt…. the mama parked the bargains in her daddy’s car and so they drove to germany furst and came back to her now via  La Poste…
