Sunday, September 3, 2017 –  Day of rest – LOL.  My RA is trying to really fight me these days.  I’m going to win though.  As soon as this RA realizes that, I will be fine.  So for today, I’m treating myself nice.  I plan on resting today/tomorrow.  I need the rest.  This hurt has to go away.  I have way too many things to get done this week.  Why?  Well there is a certain surprise that will be revealed the end of next week.  Curious?  LOL   Miles Moved: 0.80

Monday, September 4, 2017 –  Rest…rest… and more rest.  Okay I did do some things like housework, laundry and quality time with the babies.  And I did schedule in a nap somewhere in the day.  My RA pain is about a 7 today compared to off the charts last week.  My hips hurt so bad they feel like they can break.  I’m moving slowly but I am moving today.  That’s always a good sign.  Miles Moved: 0.79

Tuesday, September 5, 2017 –  I’m being nice to myself this week for lots of reasons.  The flare up is still here.  I felt like for a bit today I was trying to get a cold.  But then again, that could be from my immune system being challenged.  Then we have our ‘surprise’ coming up.  I need to be 100% for this surprise.  It will all be revealed soon.  Just be a little bit more patient my friends ❤ Miles Moved:  1.13

Wednesday, September 6, 2017 –  Irma the Hurricane needs to go away like NOW.  It’s going to interfere with a lot of things if it hits this far inland.  That’s all I can say right now.  Boo Irma! Miles Moved: 1.28

Thursday, September 7, 2017 –  Okay Hurricane Irma is not looking good at all anywhere.  Hurricanes suck big time.  It’s already leaving such tragedy in the bahamas.  Why?  Why do we have to  have these horrible things of nature?  Miles Moved: 1.73

Friday, September 8, 2017 –  Lots of work today.  These papers are not going to get moved off of my desk by themselves.   Miles Moved: 1.31

Saturday, September 9, 2017 –  Spa day for the Houdini – he so needs it.  Then it’s some finalization with some businesses for the surprise.  It’s going to be a busy day.  Miles Moved: 1.19


Thoughts for the week:  Can you feel that my friends?  The BIG surprise will be revealed towards the end of next week.  It’s huge.  Well, it’s huge for us.  I think everyone will be shocked.  I can’t believe we’ve been planning this since Christmas and that none of us have spilled the beans.  Soon my friends.  Soon all will be revealed.

Sunday, August 27, 2017 – I woke up and could barely move today,  It’s funny how my hub knew what was going on before I knew it.  I’m in a major flare up.  Yay.  Stop me now.  I’m so excited – not!  My schedule for the day – rest and being nice to myself.  Miles Moved: 0.95

Monday, August 28, 2017 –  It’s a new day today.  Still in pain with my flare up but hey – it’s going to be right there waiting for me when I get back in from my walk, right?  And you know what else?  I feel a change in the air.  Thank you Jesus!  It is time for cooler weather to get here.   Miles Moved: 2.12

Tuesday, August 29, 2017 –  LOL – I had my first pumpkin spice coffee today fixed right here at the Hotel Thompson.  Oh yes my sweet pumpkin – come to me!  I’ve missed you and it feels like forever since I’ve been with you – giggles.   Miles Moved: 1.42

Wednesday, August 30, 2017 – Must get all the end of the month things together early.  I wonder why?  Giggles.  You will probably find me hidden away at work in my closet for the rest of the week.  I’ll be the one without shoes on using my toes to count on for my end of the month statistics.  Miles Moved: 1.54

Thursday, August 31, 2017 – Numbers…graphs…statistical information gathering… projections.  Someone shoot me today okay.  HAHAHA  Miles Moved: 2.16

Friday, September 1, 2017 –  Today was fun.  I nominated today as bring your hub to work day.  Yes, he was my office bitch and he loved it!  Working together brings love together, right?  And I have to admit it.  It was great fun!  Miles Moved:  1.12

Saturday, September 2, 2017 –  Errands – lots of errands today.  Nails, post office, market, and something else with the September surprise – which is coming soon.  Don’t worry my friends – soon all will be revealed.  Miles Moved: 1.54


Thoughts for the week:  One day at a time, right?  This weekend is very important.  We have so much to do here at the Hotel Thompson for our surprise.  It’s going to be a blast!

Sunday, August 20, 2017 – Went for a walk today.  I know I normally don’t but since I didn’t move much yesterday, I thought I would get out and breathe for a bit.  It really did me good.  Breathe.  Such an easy word to say but sometimes it’s hard to follow through on it.  Miles Moved: 1.22

Monday, August 21, 2017 –  Got out before the eclipse and did an awesome walk.  Then I watched the eclipse from the safety of being behind windows.  I could still see the light getting darker outside for a while.  It was so cool!  So of my friends got great pictures of the eclipse as well.  So neat!  Of course the rooster next door (that doesn’t live next door – rolls eyes) started going off as soon as it started getting darker.  That was a hoot for sure. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 –  Squeals!!  I finally got *the* phone call last night.  I am beyond excited!  For those that are still in the dark (haha), check out my other blog on that journey.  You can see it at https://brjourney2017.wordpress.com/  It is finally going to happen.  Surgery date is scheduled November 8, 2017 at 8:30AM.  Gotta start picking up some more miles now – YAY!!  Miles Moved: 2.92

Wednesday, August 23, 2017 –  Hi my name is June and I’m an addict.  I like food.  No that’s wrong.  I love food.  LOL.  What do they say?  Admission is the first step.  I have to get my plan started and stick to it.  The only thing standing in my way of surgery is me.  I want to be where *I* want to be by surgery date.  The only way is to eat clean. I got this… I think.  Miles Moved: 3.09

Thursday, August 24, 2017 –  Every step I take… Every breathe I make… LOL.  I’m trying not to focus on the surgery.  I’m trying to focus on my health, eating clean and taking care of me.  I’ve got this, right?   Miles Moved: 2.69

Friday, August 25, 2017 –   I can see the light of the weekend.  Hallelujah!  This weekend calls for rest and relaxation.  Maybe catching up some last minute things for our mysterious surprise in September.  I’m just saying that’s not going to happen without some more footwork.  Do I have your attention on that surprise yet?  Have I mentioned it’s big?  Do I need to start giving out some more hints on it?  You tell me?  Giggles  Miles Moved: 1.06

Journey with Friends – Week 33

Sunday, August 13, 2017 –  Today we rested – LOL.  We all bundled up on the sofa and watched movies – some funny, some serious, some cartoons.  It was a great day of just being together.  Miles Moved: 0.84

Monday, August 14, 2017 –   I know some of you are following me on Facebook.  Some have questioned if the great surprise we have for September is what is currently going on with my other blog.  The answer is no 🙂  The other blog is entirely to itself and I’m working on that for me.  The great surprise is still coming in September – next month.  It’s good too.  Huge you might say.  We are all excited at the Hotel Thompson.  The final countdown is getting close.  Plans are being made.  Lists are being taken care of and then looked again several times for completion.  Trust me.  We will keep you informed.  Miles Moved: 2.78

Tuesday, August 15, 2017 –   The eclipse is happening Monday close here to our area.  I can’t believe how many visitors we are getting around here.  If you are in the path, are you getting visitors so soon?  I guess everyone wants to make sure they get the best spot.  Miles Moved: 2.39

Wednesday, August 16, 2017 –   At this point in Summer,  I can not walk outside.  Today the humidity was 90% and the temperature was close to it.  Talk about walking in a pile of sweat.  I’m sticking with walking inside (I’m sure work loves my paths I’ve created in the building – LOL) and using my treadmill.  It’s the only way I can exercise without being a pile of water afterwards.  Miles Moved: 2.30

Thursday, August 17, 2017 –   I can tell by the end of the week, I’m getting wiped out.  I guess that’s a good sign somewhat.  Not wiped out per say as in drained.  I mean wiped out in a good way from exercising.  By the time the weekend nears, I’m ready for a recharge of some sorts.  Miles Moved: 1.95

Friday, August 18, 2017 –   Finally Friday!!  I have worked hard all week because tomorrow I plan on having a planned small cheat.  There is something that me and Jim have been looking forward to all week that is a one time thing.  I will not miss a memory.  This is the great thing about living healthier vs trying to drop a lot of weight at once.  I’m living.  We can’t be ‘perfect’ every day.  And I have to still think of my blog too, right?  Travels in the South needs material – LOL  Miles Moved: 1.46

Saturday, August 19, 2017 –  Let me add that the planned cheat was happy and awesome.  Look for pictures this weekend on Travels in the South.  And I didn’t overindulge.  I wasn’t feeling up to par today.  Stupid allergies had me going something fierce this morning.  Miles Moved: 0.28

Sunday, August 6, 2017 –  Day of rest.  No watch wearing.  No keeping up my pace.  Nothing.  Zip.  Nada.  Rest.  Just like God intended.

Monday, August 7, 2017 –  Long day at the doctor offices today.  I was so ready to get this day here and over with.  Went from one doctor office to the next.  Joy.  Finally got home and had to take a nap just to have some down time to myself.   Miles Moved: 1.10

Tuesday, August 8, 2017 – I think waiting for a doctor to call you for anything should be way up there on the list of life’s most aggravating moments.  Nothing yet.  So install of stressing, I took a long walk outside in between showers.  I think I can almost feel the seasons changing.  My allergies usually fuss up during those times and all day today I haven’t been able to get any relief from the running nose, scratchy eyes syndrome.  Miles Moved: 2.42

Wednesday, August 9, 2017 –  Late in the day after my walk, I couldn’t take it anymore.  I called the doctors office.  They spoke with me for a few minutes and then asked me to give them until Friday for my case to be reviewed.  I know I haven’t said much to a lot of people about what is going on but when I find out something, I will let everyone know.   Miles Moved: 2.12

Thursday, August 10, 2017 –  I’m finding here lately that walking has been a special time to kind of forget about everything and just move for a bit.  It’s been wonderful to relief some stress that way.  Even in between some of the rain, if I can’t walk outside I’ve been using my office warehouse as my personal trainer area.  But on the other hand, stress has been wonderful in dropping a few pounds this week – go me!   Miles Moved: 2.17

Friday, August 11, 2017 –  Don’t you hate it when doctors say they are going to call and then they don’t?  I know emergencies come up but still. Aarrgghh. That’s okay. I will forget about it for the weekend. Miles Moved: 1.51

Saturday, August 12, 2017 –  I ended up going to work for a bit today. That’s one way to get your mind off of everything. Monday will be be here before we know it. Miles Moved: 1.32


Thoughts for the week:  Life is all about goals and bettering yourself.  It’s not a race and we all cross the finish line at our own pace.  The most important thing is to never give up.

Sunday, July 30, 2017 –  You know Sunday should be a day of rest.  I think from here on out Sunday will be that for me.  I’m not going to wear my i-Watch this day.  I’m going to be nice to me and rest like I should.  This is a pattern I need to add to my schedule every week.  Remember these are changes for a lifetime, not just for here/now.

Monday, July 31, 2017 –  The humidity is so wonderful here today in the south.  Sounds weird huh?  Usually it is like 80-90% and walking outside in the heat will make you go bananas.  Today though, the humidity was only 40%.  With that and the temps being in the mid 80’s, it was like heaven outside.  What an awesome walk and way to start the week.   Miles Moved: 2.50

Tuesday, August 1, 2017 –   Day by day. That’s how to do this. Day by day. Step by step. Not sweating the future. One foot in front of the other.  I’m trying not to stress about the other things in my life. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, right?  Miles Moved: 2.62

Wednesday, August 2, 2017 –  I really hate the fact that once a month women crave things beyond their control. Like sweets. I can look at something sweet and my butt gets wider. My hub on the other hand seems to have no problem with eating because of monthly cravings. Unfair Mother Nature. You are a witch. Miles Moved: 2.02

Thursday, August 3, 2017 –  My walk was great today. I need to keep focusing on walking away the stress and the things I can’t change that are out of my hands.  Miles Moved: 1.75

Friday, August 4, 2017 –  Come to me beautiful weekend and lie to me about how much we are going to get done – LOL. I plan on getting lots of rest and relaxation. Miles Moved: 2.20

Saturday, August 5, 2017 –  Errand day. Don’t you just love looking forward to the weekend only to try to run all of your errands in one day so you can at least have one day to rest?  Now that’s a mouthful huh?   Miles Moved: 0.90


Thoughts for the week:  Sometimes the best medicine to take for stress is not a pillow. Sometimes it requires something physical. I think the more I stress lately, the easier it is to toss the sneakers on and hit some trails for walking. That seems to be the best thing to relief any pent up aggravations of stress. One day at a time my friends.

Sunday, July 23, 2017 –  Didn’t do too much today.  Next week is going to be a busy week.  Lots of doctor appointments.  So excited.  Really, stop me now.  LOL – really that was sarcasm.   Miles Moved: 1.24

Monday, July 24, 2017 –  The stress levels are strong this week.  Did several small walks throughout the day to try to keep my stress levels down.  Went and saw the vampires at the doctor’s office and had my bloodwork done.  Don’t you just love a tech who can get the vein on the first shot?  I know I do!  Mine this morning was awesome.  She didn’t play games and I was in and out within 30 minutes.   Miles Moved: 2.66

Tuesday, July 25, 2017 –  Walking is definitely my friend this week.  This stress is causing my neck to hurt so badly.  I will not let the added stress slow me down.  Nope.  I will not!   Miles Moved: 2.48

Wednesday, July 26, 2017 –  So my sister stated today that she wants to do a marathon run/walk in every state by the time she is 50.  OMG – she is so good!  I think she needs to go for it.  Heck, who knows I might actually do one with her in this neck of the woods.  Are you up now from passing out on the floor from me saying that?  It could happen.  One never knows what I will do.  My sister has influencing me in so many ways with this new lifestyle.  I really look to her for guidance and encouragement.  I think everyone should have a sister like her in your life ❤  Miles Moved: 2.49

Thursday, July 27, 2017 –  I went in for some tests today at the doctor’s office.  It was planned, something in/out kind of thing.  My life is never that simple – LOL.  One ‘simple’ thing led to another test and then to a meeting face to face with a radiologist doctor.  Rolls eyes.  I was so glad to be back at work and who says that, right?  Miles Moved: 2.61

Friday, July 28, 2017 –   Yes!!  Thank goodness for Fridays.  If ever a weekend was desired, it was this weekend. I’m planning on rest, relaxation and snuggled. Bring it!  Miles Moved: 2.26

Thoughts for the week:  Baby steps and remember to breathe.  Those have definitely been my words to live by this week.  When times get tough and stressful, take a walk.  I’m trying my best to walk away that old ugly Mr. Stress.  I don’t think giving up is even in my vocabulary anymore – which is an awesome thing! As you can tell from this week, I’ve had lots of stress and doctor appointments.  I really don’t want to elaborate at this point in any details except to say pray for me.  Life goes on.  Thanks my friends.
