We here at the Hotel Thompson have some very sad news to share today my friends. It is with such sorrow that we share the news that Mouse Girl (affectionately know here as OMG – oh Mouse Girl) passed away yesterday on Mother’s Day and is now over the Rainbow Bridge.
Mouse Girl was 10 years old and she picked us to live with 8 years ago at a local shelter. She brought so much happiness and laughter to our house. Mouse Girl was a Maine Coon kitty, was very shy to peeps she didn’t know and will so greatly be missed.
Her passing was sudden, she had not been showing any signs of being sick at all. But things change so quickly and suddenly she is gone. Bare with us our friends as we grieve here at the Hotel Thompson. We will be posting replies and back to visiting blogs soon. ♥ We appreciate all of the emails, messages, posts and phone calls. Friends like you ROCK!

I’m so very sad about this news and my heart (and Sammy’s heart) go out to you in every possible way………..it seems this is a season for sadness in our blogging community – and things like this from “out of the blue” are even harder to accept sometimes. They just HAPPEN and your head is left spinning trying to understand. I guess the way we get through is knowing that it was their time – in MouseGirl’s case it sounds like she had some very serious medical issues that she hid well until she couldn’t any longer. Animals are amazing…….and I know you already know that! We send hugs and love………and you know that everyone hopes you can become at peace with the sudden loss.

Thank you so much my sweet dear cousin ((HUGS)). The doctor told us that cats are so good at masking any pain or problems that might be going on. She was just seen by her regular doctor 2 months ago and everything was fine. This happened so fast that we are all in shock here. Last night putting all of the anipals to bed was so hard – I was missing my girl. Now it’s my 3 boys and hub. I’m trying to think about how much happiness she brought here and how much she helped each one of us here in some way. And my heart is so touched knowing that Forrest is helping her now. Love, June

aaww thank you so much my sweet friend. Mouse Girl always took the backseat. We adopted her from the shelter when she was two. It took me and my hub almost a year for her to learn to trust us and a little longer for her to even let us hold her to brush her. She never would even come into the living room if we had company. In fact, my mom came with us yesterday to the clinic and that was the first time my mom even saw her 100%. She was quiet yet very loving to us. The tears have been non-stop this afternoon 😦 ((HUGS))

aaww thank you my sweet friends. We are like you – in total shock. I never ever thought my Mouse Girl would be leaving me so soon. She was my little girl – moody at times but like me 🙂 She slept on my feet at night and sung in the hallways to her people. I call my FunTom my little one, too – he is not as big as Mouse Girl was, but he has a Maine Coon among his ancestors (maybe in the grandparental generation) and has official allowance to weigh over 50 % more than a normal cat. My little Tom with his heart condition. I will see him going too early, too.

That’s how it was when we all lost “The Judge”- the human took it especially hard because she had rushed him to the hospital but he died before she could take him inside! They still aren’t over that. We understand how it feels – we’re so sorry!

We are so very sorry to hear about sweet Mouse Girl. Maine Coons are so very special, by Brother Ivan was one and he ran for the Bridge at age 4. Love and hugs from all of us.
