There I was last night all cuddled up in my Egyptian cotton sheet on my toddler bed in my bedroom. I was writing some stories and doing research for my 31 Days of Spook – which I hope you are enjoying. Someone sent me a video about selfies. I opened it and watched the video. Oh.my.piggy.heavens. Are you kidding me?! I peed on my bed. I can admit it. It scared me that much. You don’t believe me? Well, why don’t you watch the attached video in its entirety. It’s relatively short. Don’t say I didn’t warn you though – it’s not for the weak. Maybe you’ll think about it the next time you take a selfie.
OMD! You are not going to believe what I’m fixing to tell you my friends. I’m so excited. Really I am. See me all stretched out there on my ottoman? I’m watching television. Not just any show though. Mom couldn’t sleep one night – go figure – so she was surfing the channels on the television and came across something amazing. How amazing you ask?! Out of this world amazing. You see there is a channel specifically for us pooches. It’s called DogTV. Have you heard of it? OMD – it’s amazing! It’s specifically for dogs who are left alone during the day/night so it can help with separation anxieties. They have different shows – relaxation, stimulation, soothing music to help your dog sleep and all kinds of other videos. Now you are probably laughing and wondering does it work though?
Mom tried it on me the other night. I watched. I mean I really watched. The color of the videos are more towards dog vision and the music is so comforting. I actually fell asleep. It was awesome! You don’t believe me though, do you? Okay – I found a short video on You Tube so I can show you. Check it out – this is relaxation.
What did you think my friends? Wasn’t it soothing? I admit it. It actually put my dad to sleep. Barks and rolls with puppy laughter. But it works, right? Show it to your pooch and see what happens. Now, I leave you with Jokes with Dad. Hope you have a great weekend!! ❤

Oh dear piggy heavens. Here are some more of mom and dad’s adventures. They went out unchaperoned and trust me I have found enough evidence on mom’s iPhone to blackmail those two for the rest of their lives – snorts. Enjoy my friends – snorts!
Oh dear piggy heavens. Mom and dad have been at it again. They went out unchaperoned. Rolls piggy eyes and shakes head. I found some “stuff” on mom’s iPhone. You are so not going to believe those two parents of mine. Enjoy my friends and don’t say I didn’t warn you – snorts!
Sometimes I wonder if my dad was dropped on his too many times as a small human. Really I do. As always, I’m getting ahead of myself. I will explain the situation that happened here at the Hotel Thompson and then I will let YOU be the judge of my dad’s craziness. Sound fair?
Over the weekend, mom/dad went to Petsmart for the little guy here Houdini. He needed some treats and plus they wanted to look at any clothes that were marked down after Halloween – score to both 🙂
So mom sees these treats that are put out by Kong. They are peanut butter filled pretzels. They look amazing so she bought Houdini a bag. Fast forward that they finally get back home to the Hotel Thompson and mom opens the bag. They smell delicious – almost like real human treats. Amazing huh? So she shares this news with daddy.
What happens next is where the ‘dad was dropped on his head too much as a small human’ part comes to play. You watch the video and see what YOU think. I’m going to my room to get the number to mental health. I think someone in this family needs a vacation – snorts.
Oh piggy heavens! Bashful has made it home from Auntie Sharon in Australia! He came in the mail and of course daddy would not let me open it until mom got home last night from the worky place. It was a funny thing too. It sounded like there was a party going on in that box. In fact, this song was playing.
Snorticles. It was constant. I kind of got used to it and was dancing and singing that catchy little tune myself. When mom came home, I FINALLY got to open the box. Bashful brought home a friend. May I present to you Koishi. Koishi in Japanese means pebble. Here is the Japanese writing for it: 小石 Cool huh? That Koishi is a looker – so pretty and beautiful in her kimono. I know that Princess Coralena, Virginia and Rockelle were all in awe over her outfit. There is a slight language barrier but I think we can get the meaning to a lot of things she is trying to say.
The first thing she wrote was 私は恥ずかしがり屋の愛 which in Japanese language is Watashi wa hazukashi gari-ya no ai. Do you know what that means? I got out my piggy translator and looked it up. It says, “I love Bashful”. Isn’t that the sweetest? That rock of mine certainly has the “IT” factor in picking up the ladies doesn’t he?
All of the rock clans and I stayed up late last night talking and catching up on everything that has been going on here at the Hotel Thompson. It was a late night into the morning but that was okay. It was a stormy night here last night with thunder and lightening. For a while, we lost power and everything was dark. That’s okay though. Koishi settled right beside Bashful and finally fell asleep in his arms. It was adorable!
You gotta see some of the other items that came home with Bashful from Auntie Sharon. First up, this adorable cute little keychain. OMP (Oh m pig!) Mommy fell IN LOVE with this keychain. That soup in the bowl looks so real – like it’s going to pour out at any minute. Isn’t is to die for?!
It’s so cute. We had to put it on display in our curio cabinet. We don’t want anything to happen to it!
Then, there was this headband. Daddy had a FIT about it. He immediately had to take it out of the package and put it on. Snorts – it was too funny. I’ll have to post about that situation next week. When I tell you that daddy of mine is two scoops past crazy – I am not joking. But I do have to give him this. The man has skills. Skills of stupidity but skills. It’s okay though. Mommy took the headband and wrapped it back up to put in our showcase. We don’t want anything to happen to it.
Also in the box were these cute little girls – I think they were made of wood. Help me out Auntie Sharon if I’m wrong. They were adorable! I think perhaps they may look innocent and sweet but I think they were the ones starting up the party in the box with I Think I’m Turning Japanese. Really, snorts, I do.
Of course, mommy put them in the curio cabinet as well. They are too adorable and look so cute in the cabinet with the keychain and headband.
And do you know what else Auntie Sharon found and sent to mom? Minnie Mouse boxes – OMP (oh my pig). I haven’t heard mom squeal that loud in a long time. These two little boxes sit inside of each other. They are precious! Mommy was overly thrilled with them.
We can’t thank you enough Auntie Sharon for hosting Bashful and the wonderful gifts. I really hope that Koishi will be happy here at the Hotel Thompson. I hope I translated this correctly:
That’s right – I said Egg Separation. Snorticles – Got your attention? Mom doesn’t bake a lot but when she does she always has trouble separating the eggs – you know the yokes from the whites. What were you thinking? She found this pigawesome video on YouTube and had to share. She even tried it – it really does work! In no time at all, you’ll be doing some egg separation as well. Heck, even daddy can do it… anyone know what to do with a dozen separated yokes and whites?
P.S. Bakers – you might need lots of practice. With all of that practice, you might make an abundance of treats. This piggy loves treats… hint hint. Snorts.
Miniature pot bellied pig and friends - Bacon, Houdini, Hemi and all of the Rock Clan with Journalist Rocky the Squirrel all out looking for adventures from the Hotel Thompson.
