Today is a great day my friends.  Today I bring you “False Confession Day”.  Today, we encourage false confessions of any kind.  It should be fun to see how many things we can falsely confess to.  I got Bacon and his mom to play the game today.  They are both going to tell you three things each.  One of the three statements is true with the other two being false.  Can you pick them out correctly?  Be sure to share on your blog and make some false confessions of your own 🙂

BACON’s Statements

1. I love kumquats.
2.  I have bitten Hemi (one of the purr things here at the Hotel Thompson).
3. I know how to work my remote control for my television.

Bacon’s MOM’s Statements

1. Mom knows how to shoot a gun and she’s pretty good at it.
2. Mom drives a Hummer.
3. Mom has no sense of humor.

 

Remember Me Thursday and Light a Candle

Today September 22nd is Remember Me Thursday.

This is a very important date to remember all of the lost animals that didn’t find their forever homes.  Each year, animals are euthanized because they are unwanted.

Today, let’s light a candle and keep it going to remember them.  It takes all of us to do our part in making sure animals get as much love as they need and find their forever parents.  Did you adopt your current anipal into their forever home or did they adopt YOU?  Maybe today, lean a paw at your local shelter and/or make a donation to help.

Hold your babies tight today and say a little prayer my friends.  Continue the light and be their voice!  It takes all of us doing our part.  Thanks my friends!

Bacon’s Tales of Terror

Oh friends – welcome back to my Bacon’s Tales of Terrors for this month.  This month I’m taking another true story one that you might have heard out of the headlines.  We here at the Hotel Thompson were in awe hearing and seeing it on the news last month and then we found out more information that was just simply astonishing.  So, are you ready for it my friends?

During the mid-part of March last month, Lynn Groesbeck was traveling in her vehicle with her 18 month old baby, Lily.  For some reason, the car went off the road into the freezing river in Spanish Fork, Utah.  The two were trapped in the car for over 14 hours.

A fisherman happen to see the vehicle and called authorities.  When four rescue workers came to the car, they all said they heard a woman yelling for help – a mature older voice.  This voice was so pleading that the workers got into the frigid waters and were able to work harder and flip the car over.  The vehicle had been partially submerged in the freezing water and workers were shocked to see the mother had passed away and had been deceased for hours but the baby was still alive and in her car seat.

Was it adrenaline that helped the workers push the vehicle over?  Was it the pleading voice of Help that gave the four workers the adrenaline they needed to get the car upright? Was it the deceased mother that was still looking over her precious baby?  Where did the voice come from that all four heard?  And let me add that the water was so cold that some of the workers had to be treated for hypothermia.  How did the baby survive the cold for 14 hours?

Baby Lily is recovering in the hospital and family say that she is going to be just fine.  What do you think of this true story?  Did it give you goosebumps like it did us here at the Hotel Thompson?

Silent Sunday – Somewhat

Maybe this is why Mouse Girl here at the Hotel Thompson sings to her people in the middle of the night?  I’m not really sure.  But she can be heard performing nightly in the hallways where the sounds echo throughout the house.  Shakes piggy head – and trust me.  She has this same problem – her voice is a lot worse than her problems I’m sure – snorts.
