Sunshine Award

Do you know what makes this little piggies heart go pitter patter?  If you said awards, you were right.  I love awards!   They just make me want to get up and do a little break dancing!

My friend Noah at http://hutchagoodlife.wordpress.com gave me this award on Friday, February 28, 2014.  I’m so piggy excited!  Thank you Noah (hogs and snout kisses).  I really do hope that Spring is coming soon. I *need* Spring desperately.  I need the heat waves.  I need the fantastic weather to run and play and bring out my inner oinker!

Sunshine Award

My sweet girlfriend Nylablue gave me this special Sunshine Award on 02/23/2014.  As some of you know, Nylablue is very, VERY special to this little piggy and means the world to me.  Nylablue has been feeling under the weather lately and even so *still* thinks about others.  That’s how HUGE her little heart is – she still takes the time to think of others.

Me and Nylablue were going to go out on a date before she got so very sick.  The date is not called off but on hold.  When she is feeling better, I promise to take her on a wonderful date full of chasing butterflies and walking near the water front.  I want it to be something that she will always remember.

So, Nylablue get better soon honey.  I’m always here thinking of you and thank you my sweet dear kitty for the Sunshine Award.

10 Interesting Facts About Moi – A Mere Piggy

1. Mommy tucks me into my toddler bed and tells me a bedtime story every night.
2. Mommy has to put my television remote up high on a shelf in my room. If not, I will turn on my television in the middle of the night and watch it. Honestly.  I scared the bejesus out of mom/dad one night when I did it.
3. I’m usually sweet Bacon but there are times when my evil twin Deviled Bacon comes out.  Those are few and far between but when they do – shivers.
4. I like to ride in the back of mom’s Smart car when she does errands.  The next time you see a little blue Smart car with a piggy in the back seat oinking, give me a wave 🙂
5. I *hate* the feel of grass on my hooves.  I know it sounds silly but I can’t stand it!  I tip toe on the grass when outside because of it… except for when I’m knocking daddy on his butt – snorts.
6. I wake mommy up for the worky place every morning at 6:30AM.  Can you believe she hasn’t had to set an alarm in 2.5 years?  On the weekends, I wake daddy up at 7:30AM for breakfast.
7. Mommy usually leaves me a snack on my pillow on my toddler bed at night.  Sometimes it’s a strawberry, an animal cracker – you know something so the midnight munchie monster doesn’t get me.
8. I’m secretly in love with a purr thing.  Yep you heard it here first.  I love Nylablue 🙂 swoon
9. Mom took me to PetSmart one time when I was younger.  I rode in the buggy.  Everyone thought I was a dog until I started grunting.  Now, there’s too many big dogs that go to our PetSmart so mommy is afraid to take me.  So, I usually just hang out in the back of the Smart car while she runs in.
10. Mommy took me to her worky place when I was little.  I ran around the building like there was no tomorrow.  Don’t let people fool you, I’m fast.  One of mom’s guys caught me and gave me to mommy.  He scared me really bad when he grabbed me.  I peed all over mommy – blush.

There is *nothing* like starting your day off with receiving an award from a friend!  This Friday the 13th is staring off fabulous for this little oinker.  My tail is wagging so fast – mommy says that she can almost see me taking off from the speed of the wag – snorts – silly mommy.

This morning my friends (Basil, Buddy, Noah and Nacho) at http://hutchagoodlife.wordpress.com granted me the Sunshine Award.  What a delightful award on this cold-fixing-to-rain-kind-of Friday.  It’s really funny that they thought of another song when posting their award – “Ain’t no sunshine when she gone…”  My first thoughts are:

Ten Facts About *ME* 🙂 

1. My favorite movie to watch is Charlotte’s Web.  I will watch it intently.  In fact, I made mommy watch it with me this week.  She cried like there was no tomorrow.  I snuggled her at the same time.
2. I have chores at the Hotel Thompson.  Can you believe the humans have cheap labor?  I help my daddy drag my dirty things to the laundry room on wash day.  And I help mommy put all of my toys in my toy chest in my bedroom.
3. I have a king sized Egyptian cotton sheet that is all mine. 🙂 I drag it around the house, play with it and sleep with it.  It’s kind of like my security blanket.  I “borrowed” it from mommy one day.  She saw how much I loved it and told me I could have it.  Isn’t she the best!
4. The worst thing that I do? – snorts.  I step on my mom/dad’s feet with my hooves.  I really don’t do it on purpose.  But man, do they make some neat moves dancing around when I accidentally do it.
5. I watch a lot of paranormal shows with my mommy.  Secretly I think I would be a great ghost pig investigator in search of the unknown.  Really, I just need my shot!
6. I type about 25 hpm (hooves per minute).  My time is increasing every month!
7. There is only one food that I don’t much care for.  I’ll eat it but it’s not my favorite.  In fact, the first time I had it, I do believe one ear went in one direction and the other ear went in the opposite direction.  What was the food?  Kumquats – sweet/sour combined.
8. My nana once pigsat me while mom/dad went out of town for THREE days.  When they came back home, I had ate so much at nana’s that I couldn’t even squeak!
9. At night, mom has to put my remote control for my television in my bedroom up on my book shelf.  If not, I will find it, turn on the television in the middle of the night and watch it.
10. I love bananas.  Once, mommy was holding one and wasn’t thinking about me being in the room.  I tried to climb up her bare legs to get to the banana.  Oops – I left some treadmarks on her long legs too.  But on the other hoof, I got the banana 🙂

Bouquet of THREE Awards

 I am speechless.  If you have known me for any length of time, you know that is almost impossible.  I opened up my comments this morning and was granted the most sincere message.  I was posted with the Bouquet of Three Awards.  After getting my wits together and getting over being speechless, I squealed so loud that I think the rafters in the Hotel Thompson shook.  I took off running to find daddy so I could tell him.  We were ALL so excited.

Seven interesting tidbits about myself – the amazing pig – snorts

1.  I don’t like the feel of grass on my hooves.  It’s a texture thing – shivers.

2.  I have a king size Egyptian cotton sheet that is like my security blanket.

3.  Mom’s fixes me the best spinach omelets 🙂 Yep, she cooks for me.

4.  Mom has a painted picture of my snout in her office at the worky place.

5.  Daddy gives me animal crackers throughout the day while mom is working

6.  I have my own television in my own bedroom and I know how to work the remote.

7.  I have *my* own pet.  His name is Bashful and he is my pet rock.  He travels on field trips.

Saturday, April 27, 2013, I was sitting all snuggly with mom on the couch.  She was watching crime stories and writing while I was snoring.  I got a ding on my i-Pad stating I got a message on my blog here.  I immediately woke up because these are very, VERY important to me.  When my friends leave messages, I have to check immediately and respond.  It’s what I do. 

Do you know how surprised and tickled I was that I got a message stating that I got an award!  I started snorting so loud that mom stopped writing to see what I was excited about.  Then she started snorting!  No – PLOL (piggy laughing out loud), she was thrilled too.  I am so very, very thankful!  This piggy LOVES awards.

Questions about me – the pig – snort snort

1. Do I sleep the entire night?  Yes, I do.  Every since I was 3 weeks old when mom adopted me, I sleep the entire night.  I will only wake mommy up if the midnight munchie monster wakes me up.
2. What is my favorite television show? Green Acres – what?
3. Are pigs dirty?  Nope.  Just the opposite.  This little piggy likes clean. 
4. Do I like sports?   I love sports.  I have a long line of ancestors that played in football. 
5. What is my favorite food/snack?  I can’t just pick one.  Watermelon, Cheerios or strawberries – yum
6. How fast can I type?  Well, I’m not as fast as mom because I don’t have fingers.  My hooves tend to slow me down.  But, I can type faster than some.  You know – practice, practice and practice.
7. Am I a friendly pig?  I am friendly to people but I’m also a little on the shy side with first meeting people.  On the other hand, I’m also a one pig person.  I love my mommy and I’m very possessive over her.
8. Do I get along with the other fur things at the Hotel Thompson?  Yep, we all get along.  We love to chase and play with other through the halls and rooms.
9. What do I have in my que on Netflix?  I have all kinds of shows on my Netflix.  I love mysteries, crime shows and ghost shows – oh my! 
10. Do I like to be held?  If I jump on the couch and snuggle beside mommy, I love to be gently squeezed and loved on.  I don’t particularly like to be picked up anymore.  It’s scary for a pig when their hooves don’t touch the floor.
