Bashful Hide and Seek

Bashful – he’s a good pebble.  He tries to stay out of trouble.  Sometimes it works – sometimes not so much.  Last night, we were playing hide and seek in the house.  I can’t tell you how many times I walked by the table and saw this napkin.  It never dawned on me one single time that the little fella would be underneath it sleeping.

The only thing that *finally* gave him away was that he had to go to the potty.  If it wasn’t for that, he would still be under the napkin on the table hiding.  And mom/dad, they weren’t much help.  I think dad was actually the one that suggested that great hiding place.  Where’s dad when *I* want to hide, huh?  Perhaps I should hide dad’s remote control and see how he likes to hunt for things for hours at a time – snorts.

Just another fun night at the Hotel Thompson.  How was your night?

On the Road with Bashful!

Bashful – the rolling stone!

Hello my friends!  Today’s posting will conclude my fun adventure that I had at Wally World, otherwise known as Wal-Mart.  I hope I have expressed how much fun it was!  I do hope that you have had a good laugh at my field trip and my experiences.  But don’t worry, although my adventure with Wally World… AKA Fun Land USA… is over, my field trips are not done.  I am going out more to explore and will post about those trips soon.

Today, we concentrate on education.  I really tried hard to broaden my knowledge while at Fun Land USA.

20130507-222458.jpg

I started first in the book section.  Those Dr Seus books are wonderful!  Did you know that daddy can almost recite the entire book of Green Eggs and Ham by heart?  He loves that one just about as much as I do.  You can see me in this picture next to the books reading.  I stayed there for as long as mom/dad would let me.  They were looking at their books and I was looking at my age appropriate books.  It was all good.

20130507-222510.jpg

Then we moved on to exciting and wondrous things… the electronic department!  I was trying so very hard to get mom/dad to buy me my very own iPad.  They said I was too young and had to share with Bacon still.  Stomps pebbles – but I wanna my own iPad.  Darn it all.  I love playing on Bacon’s.  It’s a lot easier to type, if you know what I mean.  Maybe one day when I become a policerock and make my own money, I can get one.

20130507-222526.jpg

With all of this shopping, I got hungry.  I might have strayed off by myself.  Mom/dad got scared because they couldn’t find me.  They said next time, I have to wear my leash – darn shucks.

I’m not sure why they were so scared, they did eventually find me.  I was in the frozen food section licking the strawberry pie box.  Tasty – 🙂  Now I know why Bacon loves strawberries.  Of course, I tasted it so mom/dad had to buy the pie.  They weren’t fussing too much cause they said they were hungry too.  It was delicious!

Well, that’s it for today’s field trip.  I hope you enjoyed it my friends!

On the Road with Bashful!

Bashful…the rolling stone

Hello my friends. Today I continue my field trip to Wally World – otherwise known to some as Wal-Mart. I had the best time there playing around and getting into trouble for that matter. I like to refer to my field trip at Wally World as Fun Land USA 🙂

I hope that one day in the near future perhaps I can go to this other place mom/dad call Target. They say it is similar to Wally World. I will definitely keep you posted on that adventure.

On this blog, I want to share the ‘rides’ at Wally World. They were so much fun! I got to ride as many as I possible could before mom/dad finally told me we had to leave. So, let’s start this exciting and adventurous time in pictures:

20130507-222307.jpg

I got to ride a John Deere tractor! It was a hoot – you can see me on top of said tractor. Unfortunately, I was a little too round to fit inside – must go on diet – add that to my bucket list. I especially thought this was fun because mom/dad said that it cuts grass. I know what that is.

I watch my neighbor next door when he cuts the grass. He doesn’t have a tractor but a riding lawn mower that he calls Buddy. It is so cool! Maybe one day I can get my picture taken with the neighbor and Buddy to post 🙂

20130507-222319.jpg

Then I saw Dora the Explorer. I know who she is because I watch her on television. And you know, she’s a lot like me. She explores and I do the same thing with my field trips, right? And the cool thing about her ride, I fit in it! Did you know that I learned a second language by watching her show? “Gracias mis amigos con mi viaje de campo. Valoro mucho que.” Roughly translated, “Thank you my friends for following my Field Trip. I really appreciate that.” See, rocks can learn something new. I’m trying to teach Bacon but he’s picked up some wicked southern accent from mom.

20130507-222333.jpgThen dad saw this set of wheels – call me Bashful Evel Knievel – vroom vroom. I wanted to take it for a spin around the store but dad said the establishment would frown upon that.

It was really kind of cool. It made noises. Mom finally told me to get off before I got hurt. She said it didn’t have doors and was dangerous. Come on mom, really? Let this rock let loose and have some fun!

20130507-222347.jpg

This led me to the best ride at Fun Land USA. A police car! It had lights and sirens and was awesome! Again, this rock is too fluffy to fit inside so I rode on top of this wonderful little car.

Riding this car made me want to become a policerock when I grow up. I think that would be the coolest job in the entire world! What do you think?

Well, until next time my friends – have a great day and be good to yourselves.

On the Road with Bashful

BASHFUL – the rolling stone…

OMR (Oh my rock!!). This is a special edition of one of my field trips. I had to share this one as soon as possible to my friends. This little rock had the best of times this past weekend. WOW is the first word that pops in this little pebbles noggin. Okay – okay. Let me calm down … Breathing.

20130512-123003.jpg

First up, mom/dad took nana out for Mother’s Day.  With all of us going – including this lucky pebble, we had to take the big car.  So mom parked the little car in the yard behind the tree in the front yard.  It’s so small you can hardly see it hiding behind the tree!

Isn’t that a hoot.

20130512-123020.jpg

So we all bundled up in mom’s other car, which is a small SUV, and went to pick up Nana.  See to the picture on the right, I had a perfect place to sit for the drive.  It was fun.  Every once in a while, mom/dad would reach down and pet my little noggin’… you know for safe keeping purposes.  But I’m getting used to these little field trips and I look forward to them now.

I mean after all, I’m Bashful – the rolling stone.

20130512-123053.jpgNana wanted to go to this steak restaurant called Longhorns.  Trust me, there was some very long horns in this place – I was in awe!  When we first got there, I met some friends in the parking lot – they were my kind of pebbles.  Mom/d20130512-123036.jpgad let me stop and chat for awhile and took my picture.

Then we went into the restaurant and nana gave me a kiss.  YAY – nana loves me.

20130512-123101.jpg

I was so hungry that I just couldn’t wait for food!  My core was rumbling – I was starving!  I was jumping all over the table eating this wonderful appetizer of a blooming onion.  Thud – it was so delicious!  Mom/dad had to keep getting on to me because I kept jumping in the sauce.  I couldn’t help it – my arms are really short – almost invisible!

20130512-123127.jpg

I was so glad when the food arrived.  My plate was most excellent.  Mom ordered me mac and cheese – one of my all time favorites – and she shared her chopped steak with onions, mushroom and red wine sauce (it’s okay – the red wine sauce was cooked out).

20130512-123134.jpg

Mom said I did good because I was a member of the clean plate club and finished everything she gave me.  This little rock was ready to bust into a thousand pebbles I was so full.  BUT, never so full that I couldn’t have dessert. 🙂

20130512-123154.jpg

Someone, namely mom cough cough, let it be known that I was celebrating my birthday.  I turned 6 months Saturday – that’s OLD in rock ages.  Mom got me ready on the left wrapping my napkin around me.

20130512-123201.jpg

When my dessert came out, the only thing sweeter on the right was the

lovely Longhorn ladies who sung to me.  That was pure heaven!  Thanks ladies – I’m single – hubba hubba.

20130512-123227.jpg

As you can see, I got a little messy with the dessert.  It was so good – I couldn’t help it.  I jumped in head first and got whip cream all over me!  The only thing that would have made this dessert better would be if the ice cream was Rocky Road ice cream.  That’s my favorite ice cream in the entire world!

But it was good.  We all had spoons and dug in.  Mom had to clean me off afterwards.  I can’t help it.  If the food is good, I’m going to wear it.

20130512-123234.jpg

With all of the fun we had, it wouldn’t have been perfect without the wonderful staff at Longhorns making my day.  They came back to the table afterwards to have their picture taken with me.  See, I told Bacon I was going to be famous one of these days.

Ohh, and ladies – remember I’m single.  Would love a date night.  You can take me out anytime and take pictures to be posted.  hubba hubba – 🙂
