Leave it to my mom and dad to come up with something so stupid that it’s funny. They went to the market yesterday and came home with this picture. Shakes piggy head. They really need help. Professional help. How can I trust those two out by themselves?

Goofy Daddy
This can’t end well my friends.
Daddy says he has a light bulb moment and that he now has a bright idea. Rolling my piggy eyes to the high heavens. This can’t end well, seriously. Supposedly he has come up with an idea or shall we say a time schedule on doing things here at the Hotel Thompson for the holidays. Translation of this means – mom now has a schedule of when to do what and where. Snorts with piggy laughter. Now some of the things he has plans, I agree with 100%. Like shopping for me – HA!
But instead of Black Friday shopping, get this. Dad wants to stay at home and help mom with the packing and writing of Christmas cards. What? Did dad fall on his head? He *always* likes to go shopping on Black Friday. But this year he says everything is basically done and he wants to pack up what is to be mailed out to all over the world and mail it on Saturday with Christmas cards. WOW. I guess there are miracles after all – snorts with piggy laughter.
So friends – what are your traditions after Thanksgiving? Do share and tell ❤
Travels in the South
Hello friends. I hope that you have been enjoying our Travels in the South edition. Today, we continue our adventures with Fozziemom and Fozziedad who visited all the way from Australia. Today, I want to focus on a restaurant that everyone went to on their way back home from Tybee Island. Also this is a restaurant that Jean and Bill visited while they were visiting as well.
It’s a place that my mom has been going to since she she was small child. She actually introduced my dad to it and it’s a great feel at home kind of place.
This restaurant is called Buckner’s Family Restaurant and has wonderful vegetables (for our vegetarians) and the best fried chicken you will ever wrap your lips around – just sayin’ so says mom – snorts. Which brings me to the chicken in the picture – his name is Elmer and he’s a pretty cool dude. His tall – really tall and his sign says do not touch… Personally I think too many people in the past have wanted to get up close and personal to him to have their pictures taken if you know what I mean.
.
Now you see the cool thing about this place is all of the tables are round. Okay I can see you going okay and what’s a big deal about that. Well you see in the middle of the round table, they have the biggest movable section – a giant lazy Susan if you will. The workers will come to your table with all of these bowls containing wonderful delights – creamed corn, green beans, beats, cole slaw , lima beans, rolls, chicken, barbeque pork, peach cobbler – just to name a few. And as you eat and things run out, you just ask for refills and the servers gladly fill everything back up. So you have a buffet without having to get up and down all of the time. You sit and the staff bring YOU the food. Cool huh?
Now you have to remember that everyone stopped here on the way home from Tybee Island. They were tired, exhausted if you will, and at the point of just being silly. The moms didn’t even have make up on. So, I’m tell you that in preparation for this final picture. A picture to show you (A) how tired they looked and (B) how silly they were being trying to get a picture with Elmer. So here you go my friends – the moms in their bare necessities.
Oh Dear Piggy Heavens Above
My daddy – just saying those two words make me laugh. Does it make you laugh? Knowing my daddy – my family for that matter – you know this is going to be something good. Right? Well, the other night I caught mom and dad doing something so hilarious in the living room. See with the new furniture, the chaise is OFF LIMITS to all of us. But when mom is not at home, we take turns on it. Don’t tell her okay. Well poor daddy. He finally got to sit in it the other night. I heard the noise, so I tip toed on my hooves into the living room, hid in one corner and video taped them two. Shakes my piggy head now. Someone help me with those two okay.
Mommy Is So Silly!
My mom is so crazy! She was driving around in Albert the other day with me and daddy. She put her car blinker on way before she needed to and daddy asked her why? That’s when she told him, “At my age, I don’t necessarily use blinkers to let others know where I’m going. I use them to remind myself where *I’m* going.”
Silly mommy.
Oh Hemi – You Are Too Funny
Hemi is one of the purr things here at the Hotel Thompson. He’s always getting into trouble – way more than me. Can you believe that? Snorts. Mom calls him her “Fear Factor” cat because he has no fear of anything.
Last night, he was rolling around on dad’s television tray trying to get some love. I pulled out mom’s video camera and video taped him. You *have* to watch until the end to see what kind of nut Hemi is. It’s way too funny! “I” would never do anything like this. Nope, no way – snorts.
Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!
Cat Toys and Silly Daddy
The purr things here at the Hotel Thompson have the coolest toys. They have this tube looking thing that they like to hide and play in all day long. Usually, Mouse Girl claims it and doesn’t let Hemi near it. But yesterday, I caught pictures of Hemi playing with it. It keeps them busy for hours. I wonder if they make a bigger one for humans to play with to keep them busy for hours? Hey, it’s a thought.

Then again, maybe they don’t need to make a bigger one. I think my human daddy has found a new way to play with the purr things toy. Hey, it did keep him busy for about an hour. I took a snap shot for you. Silly daddy. Toys are for kids.
