Welcome my friends to our weekly issue of Journey with Friends. This is a time that we come together for support, for encouragement, for fellowship – all with one single goal in mind – to live better. Welcome to our journey to share our goals and our accomplishments and our disappointments and frustrations.
Together we can do this!
Hey friends ❤ How was your week? We survived another week and I’m proud of that. We got everything wrapped and mailed out for Christmas – yay! And this past Saturday we had one last time shopping adventure on a different side of town. We spent the entire day store hopping, having a blast and laughing. Isn’t that what the holidays are about? It was a blast. Of course, one of the funny things that happened (there’s always more than one with us, right), was that we were shopping on the ‘country’ side of our town. I guess you could say it was redneck land – LOL. Well, I’m in a store and I asked the lady at a jewelry counter if they sold nose rings. OMP! The look on her face was priceless. I personally was laughing my butt off at her shock that I had one. Priceless my friends – priceless.
So this week friends, I leave you with some important information from nephdog Sherlock Bones – If you are going to jingle jangle make sure your jangle jingles.
How was your week?

Welcome my friends to another edition of Travels in the South. Being in the south, we do have some great barbecue restaurants that come up with some wonderful creations. This is something that we have actually highlighted here before. In fact, when our friends Bill and Jean (with Canadian Cats) came for a visit, we introduced them to these as well. Every once in a while, we crave these… and it helps that mom had a coupon for a free appetizer. 🙂
Let me introduce you my friends. These are called Redneck Egg Rolls. The restaurant takes egg roll wrappers and adds slow smoked pulled pork, coleslaw and jack cheese. They then deep fry the egg rolls until they are crispy. They are served with a ranch dipping sauce but mom/dad like to eat them with a spicy barbecue sauce. They are hot, delicious, gooey and you will crave more and more! Just ask Bill and Jean. They will tell you.
So when in the South, eat barbecue Redneck Egg Rolls. ❤

Okay friends – here we go with the LAST clue of who my parents are meeting and where. Put on your thinking hats. The first person to answer correctly on WHO and WHERE will receive a badge that was so kindly created by the friends we are meeting. And let me tell you something – it’s a beauty! A keeper to be so proudly displayed on your blog for all of the world to see.
Now – there have been clues such as: banjo music; a different time zone and even possum in a can with gravy – yum huh?
Now, let’s think of WHO we are meeting. Let’s give a few hints as to who they are shall we. Another couple. A lot of fellow bloggers know them as well. Let’s think beavers – gnaw gnaw. Let’s think we are from the south and they are from the north. And the biggest clue is from Walt Disney himself, “We are Siamese if you please.”
Now on to WHERE we are meeting. Here in the south. Someplace that loves the banjo music. Someplace that is redneck. Someplace that is nicknamed the Rocket City. Someplace that has lots of “Space” activity.
There you go my friends. The clues have been given. We need you to take the challenge now. The first correct answer of WHO and WHERE we are meeting wins the badge. AND the meeting is happening soon. That’s all we will say – soon. And of course, there will be pictures galore taken of everything imaginable. So GO –

Something so exciting happened yesterday. I absolutely could not believe it when mom was telling me and dad last night. I’m honored. I’m in awe. I’m mystified. Mom did something and didn’t even tell me and dad about it until last night. I just can’t believe she kept it a secret that long. Personally, I think she did it and forgot about it not thinking anything would come from it. So, all of this hoopla and you’re probably wondering to yourself, “Just spit it out pig – what happened?” Okay, here it goes.
Mom sent a fellow Georgian, not too far away from me that’s from Hapeville, a post on her Facebook the other day. She thought that I, Bacon, would be a good laugh for this person. I really don’t understand that part because we all know that “I’m” not a joke. I just tell it like it is from my little piggy perspective… just keeping it real. Snort – LOL

Last night on the way home from work, mom checked her Facebook messages and posts and saw this. She immediately had to take a picture. She was so excited! You should have seen her when she came in the house. She couldn’t even talk for a few minutes – which is a rare thing from mom. Chuckles
She was flying around the house and her tail was just shaking. She finally told me and daddy to guess and then before we could guess, she told us. Dad was in awe. He said a lot of things but all I heard from him was blah, blah, blah, that pig is popular, blah, blah, blah.
I must have look mystified because I didn’t catch the name. So mom looked at me and said, “You know the game show Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader.” When she said that, I knew because we’ve watched that before on my television. And personally Mr. Foxworthy, I think it needs to be changed to Are You Smarter than a Pot Bellied Pig. Just sayin’
Mom also reminded me about the Blue Collar Comedy Tour he did with Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Ron White. That was hilarious! I’ve watched that several times with dad.
Of course dad was laughing at me later last night saying to expect me to be the ham of some jokes like… You know you’re a redneck if you own a pig that stays inside and has his room and has his own television. It’s okay dad. You’re just jealous. SRAOL (snort rolling all over laughing).
So there you go – can you believe that?! Thank you Mr. Foxworthy. You made my piggy day!
