Hello my friends. I do hope that your week has been amazing. Mine has been full of love and fun and food and adventures here at the Hotel Thompson. Pirate Chicken number three has made an appearance and been given a great play all week long. I’m happy or is unhappy to report that his squeak still works. He may have to walk the plank a couple of more times before that subsides. Barks! What? It’s what I do.
This picture was taken this week by mommy. I’ve been fighting for a lot of lap time this week. Mommy was able to snap this picture when I had just awakened from a comfortable nap all covered up on her.
Don’t let the pink shirt fool you. Manly men are starting to wear pink now. And between me and you – I think I make this pink shirt. What do you think?
Now without further ado, let’s give daddy his five minutes in the limelight – barks with puppy laughter!
Happy Birthday to my Auntie Tina. She’s in this picture with Sherlock Bones who thinks he is a lap doggy. Really, he’s not much bigger than me. And I know I am still a lap piggy – snorts with piggy laughter.
Happy birthday Auntie – may your day be full of love and fun.. and wonder and laps full of poochie!
See I’m not that big. Nope not at all. You see, I didn’t feel too good last night. I need my mommy time. In fact, I might have – might being a strong word – pushed Houdini off of the couch. I wanted mom’s lap. I was a little under the weather. Nothing to put my hoof directly on, just not feeling well. I think it’s this weather. It doesn’t know what it wants to do. I need Spring. I need warmth. Last night, I just needed my mommy.
I crawled up on mom’s lap, stuck my snout between her and the couch and put my breaks on so I wouldn’t fall. Of course, mom wouldn’t let me fall either. I just had to have some special tender loving care time.
When it was bedtime, mom tucked me in and sat beside me rubbing my back while she told me my bedtime story. It’s days like this that make me love her even more. Is that possible? What do you do when you are not feeling well? Do you run to mom or dad or both?
Lately it seems like I can’t get enough of mommy time. It doesn’t help that I’m in hibernation mode trying to get through this cold wintery months. Sometimes though – it’s a fight for mom’s lap. You know with Houdini and the two purr things here it’s like we have to take numbers. Well last night, I got my time. My private alone me and mommy time. That is… until daddy *thought* he was going to butt in into OUR time. Not going to happen so fast pops of mine.
By popular demand, we have snagged pictures of daddy holding Monkey Man. You know Monkey Man that was posted last week trying to escape in Albert – mom’s Smart car.
Let me set the scenario up for you my friends. Mom/dad went grocery shopping in Albert. Of course after they put all of the groceries in the back ‘hatch’ of Albert, there was no room for Monkey Man. Monkey Man *always* travels with mom everywhere.
Since there was no room in the back ‘hatch’ area, daddy had to hold Monkey Man in his lap all the way home from the market. Now, here you go. You’re driving down the street in your car. You get stopped at a red light. You happened to gaze over at this Smart car because it’s so small. While you are laughing hysterically, something catches your attention to the front passenger side. That’s when you see it.
.
This man is holding a giant sock monkey that is looking out the window. Now, what do you do? Do you point? Do you laugh? Do you bring out your camera phone to snap a picture? Do you call the authorities because Monkey Man is not strapped in to his safety belt? You know I’m waiting until a police officer pulls us over thinking it’s a small child – It will be hilarious! Snorts.
The possibilities are endless my friends. What would you do? I took two pictures for your review. One from the passenger side window and another straight from the front of Albert.
Miniature pot bellied pig and friends - Bacon, Houdini, Hemi and all of the Rock Clan with Journalist Rocky the Squirrel all out looking for adventures from the Hotel Thompson.
