Mom’s Christmas Picks

Hello friends.  It’s not too late to get some last minute Christmas ideas on your list.  Today, I’m going to share some of my Christmas picks.  These are things that I have come across that I find fascinating and wonderful.  If you have found something this year, please also share.  The shopping days are ticking down!  ❤

My first pick – knitted gloves.  They have these types of gloves in all kinds of different sizes and materials.  They have them longer, shorter, with fingers and without fingers.  They look fashionable yet let me tell you a little secret.  If you have someone you know that has arthritis – they need these types of gloves.  I’ve been having a lot of joint pain and my wrists are really bad.  These gloves give my wrists just a little bit of warmth and comfort.  I wear these with long or short sleeved shirts – in and around the house.  Say what you want to the fashionistas in the world – these gloves rock.  They are on the top of my list.

And a blessing – you can find these on Amazon at all kinds of different prices – from less than $2.00 to the ones on the higher end of $20.00 – check them out 🙂

Next up –  make up.  What girl doesn’t love a good quality make up?  And yes, I’m confident in myself to show you this fabulous company I have found.  I saw an infomercial a while back on IT Cosmetics.  I thought it looked interesting and finally broke down and got some make up from them.  It came in the mail so quickly and in such a cute little package.  I tried it and let me tell you something – I’m never.going.back!  This is the best make up that I have tried in my entire life.  This coming from a girl that use to only using Clinique products.  Now I will tell you that IT Cosmetics are not cheap but they are amazing!  I’m showing you my before and after pictures so you can see how beautiful the product works.

I am using Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ (medium).  This is your base and goes on like a cream.  It does not feel like a foundation at all and look at all of the imperfections in my face that it covers – totally awesome.  And a little bit goes a long ways.  I then followed this with Bye Bye Pores.  This is a powder that really does make your pores disappear and it is so silky.  Then I added my regular eye and lip make up.  Can you see the difference?  Like I said it is costly, these two products I ordered set me back around $60 BUT again a little goes a long way. AND they do not test their products on animals – isn’t that another great plus?!

My final pick – Pony Up Daddy.  This is hilarious and I absolutely fell in love with this.  At first, I really thought it was a joke.  But it’s no joke!  How many times have your children or grandchildren wanted to play horsey on your back while you went around the house on all fours?  Here you go – a ‘saddle’ that velcros around the horses waist.  The child then climbs aboard for the ride of their life.  Where has this been all of our lives?  I can just see my hub unit using one of these with the kids in our lives – what a blast!  Price range – around $25.00 – I’ve seen them on Amazon and at Wal-Mart.

So friends – what have you found for this Christmas season?  Please share!

Oh Auntie Sharon!!

As I said earlier, last week was kind of a blur for poor mom with running here and there and everywhere.  Some days I don’t think she even knew which end was up or if she was coming or going. I received three packages almost back to back.  They say good things come in threes and I guess ‘they’ are right.  I was one little happy oinker over the weekend with all of my gifts.

The first package was from my brother by another mother.  You can see that earlier in today.  The second one was from my Auntie Sharon in Australia.  She is the BOMB – She is the GREATEST – She is my Auntie and I loves her!!  Piggy licks.

I got this second box and again helped mommy open it.  You see,  this little piggy has an amazing and powerful snout – just ask daddy – snorts.

I opened up the box and what fell out?  A cute, adorable, attractive little piggy that looked just like me!  It was a mini-me in fact.  It had my markings – see the little skunk mark on its head.  It was small like me.  It was irresistible like me.  I fell totally hooves over head in love with my new little friend.  I shall call him Bacon II.

Isn’t Auntie Sharon so talented??  Well you haven’t seen anything yet.

Auntie Sharon also made me a cowl scarf.  OMP (oh my pig)!  It’s pink, heavy material with black eyes and a black tail in the back.  Now, I did let mommy put it on me and I ran back to my room and jumped in bed – snorts.  It was so warm on my little belly (snorts – I know ‘little’ belly).  I absolutely LOVE IT.  I have to be careful with it.  Mom likes it too.

We both felt the love that Auntie Sharon put into it.  It is that amazing!  How in the world did this little oinker get so lucky to have such wonderful and sweet friends to think about me.  I am by far the luckiest little piggy in the entire world!  I love you Auntie Sharon.  Thank you so much my sweet dear friend for thinking of me.  I will treasure my cowl scarf and Bacon II all of my life!
