Houdini is Behind the Wheel – OH NO!

So Houdini gets to drive the new Jeep and I can’t?  How wrong is that picture might I ask?  Look mom, his paws don’t touch the gas pedals either.  I want my turn!  See, I found these pictures.  Nope, I wasn’t snooping on mom’s iPhone either.  See mom forgot about this called the Cloud.  It holds everything – snorts with piggy laughter.  Her pictures get saved to the Cloud therefore I don’t *need* her iPhone anymore – ha!  Just don’t tell her okay my friends.

So I see this picture of the little guy driving the Jeep.  I’m like so that’s what he gets to do when he goes out with mom.  Boogers – I want to drive too!  Then I’m like why are they stopped?  And is Houdini’s paw on the horn – why?  Then I saw the next picture and went that’s why!  There was a geese crossing in downtown Jonesboro.  I guess that would stop traffic… as if a dog driving wouldn’t stop it before that – snorts with piggy laughter!

And I wonder where these geese were going?  To get to the other side of the railroad tracks?

Dear Bacon

Dear Bacon – There.  I’m ready for Winter.  Bring it on Mother Nature.  I’m ready to get rid of the heat and welcome the cooler weather.  My scarf is ready and I’m waiting.  Tap.tap.tap.  That’s my paws tapping while I’m waiting.  When is this winter suppose to get here pal?  Signed Scarf Dog

Dear Scarf Dog – Oh my friend.  I agree with you about weather.  And you do look so very sharp in your scarf – you will be ready for it when Mother Nature decides to play nice.  Now, we have had some cooler days and I can tell with my piggy senses that it’s coming.  But winter is still a far piece away.  Autumn will be here September 23.  Winter is not officially here until December December 21.  So we do have some time.  But Autumn does bring cooler weather too.  And this little oinker can’t wait!  Until then, stay cool my friend.

Dear Bacon – Sometimes you just need a sleep buddy to hold on to to keep the nightmares away.  It’s always better knowing someone is there for you.  Do you have a sleep buddy?  Signed Ginger Twins

Dear Ginger Twins – I think that’s a fabulous idea my friends.  Mom and dad go to sleep holding hands.  They say that otters do the same thing so they don’t float away from each other in the water.  You see, lots of anipals do this and I do believe it’s a wonderful way to fall off to sleep knowing someone has your paw.  Sometimes I sleep with mom/dad and get close to them.  Other times, Houdini or Mouse Girl will bunk with me and lay real close.

Dear Bacon – It’s not bad enough that I have to wear the cone of shame.  Oh no.  I should have known something was up when my human dad wanted to hold me for a second.  I could feel him doing something to my cone of shame but didn’t know what.  That is until I met up with the mirror and saw his creation.  Really dad?  Perhaps I should get you a cone of shame?  Signed Bat Cat

Dear Bat Cat – I have to admit it my friend but that cone of shame is priceless.  How many other purr things do you know that can say their cone of shame was made just for them.  I say wear it with pride and hey give your human daddy some slack.  His creativity could make you ‘the cat’ of the neighborhood.  Give it a test and see what I mean.  Others will be so jealous!

Dear Bacon – Okay I let the humans sleep in on the weekend.  I didn’t pounce on them and wake them up.  I showed respect and refrained from barking my head off.  But this is where I draw the line.  It is now noon and my bowl is empty.  I’m going to start wasting away soon without my food.  Darn these paws.  If I had fingers, I could get my own food out of the bag and refrigerator.  Humans – WAKE UP.  Signed Hungry Jack

Dear Hungry Jack – WOW – noon huh?  That is total control on your part my friend.  Perhaps pull the humans blankets off of them?  They will wake up quickly with that.  And this picture is priceless for them.  Perhaps email or text it to their magical cell phones.  They wake up pretty quick when those things ring too.  Hope you get fed soon 🙂

.

REMEMBER friends.  Dear Bacon can’t happen without YOU.  Please continue to send me your pictures and questions via email.

Funny Humor

Okay my friends.  This weekend, I’m feeling funny with a slight temperature of amusement.  With that in mind, I have jokes to share.  I do hope that you enjoy these.

Snake 1 says, “Are we poisonous?”

Snake 2 replies, “I don’t know, why?”.

Snake 1 says, “I just bit my lip.”

One of the highlights of the biology course at my university was the monthly feeding of a caged rattlesnake kept in the laboratory. One time, the entire class gathered around the cage and, in complete silence, watched as the feeding took place.

‘I’m jealous of the snake,’ the instructor said. ‘I never get the class’s undivided attention like this.’
A student answered matter-of-factly, ‘You would if you could swallow a mouse.’

What is the difference between a cat and a dog?

Dogs think, “Humans are benevolent, they feed me and take care of me, so they must be Gods.

Cats think, “Humans are benevolent, they feed me and take care of me, so I must be God.”

Cats vs Dogs

Oh my friends.  Life here at the Hotel Thompson can be really comical at times.  We all have our favorite spots in the evenings when mom and dad are watching television.  Sometimes they vary but for the most part it’s the same spots for all of us.  The other night though, I wasn’t feeling too well – it’s winter time and I hate winter time.  Shivers – the cold makes me want to hibernate.  So I went to bed early.

Hemi crawled up on mommy and was getting some one on one time with her.  Well the little guy Houdini didn’t like it one bit.  He thinks the mommy is all his always.  So he crawls up and gives Hemi a piece of his mind which turns out just to be hilarious.  Make sure you watch until the end of the video because it gets even better.  Since Hemi won’t move, see what Houdini does.  Priceless my friends – priceless.

Squeals with Delight!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/93d/28253568/files/2015/01/img_1308.jpg

With mommy being sick and Houdini being sick during the holidays, we weren’t real timely in getting some thank you’s out that we needed to.  Please forgive us for our delay my friends.

The first thank you we want to throw out is to Auntie Sharon of Gentlestitches. She sent us the coolest Christmas card.  Why do you ask?  Because we are not used to seeing Santa Claus at the beach – snorts.  Here, we celebrate Christmas in the cold whereas in Australia it’s the Summer.  Such a neat different huh?  Maybe one day mom/dad can celebrate in Australia – wouldn’t that be fun?

With the card she sent, she sent me a cute little black piggy – remind you of anyone?  Snorts – oinks.  And she sent a red Christmas hat.  See it in the picture?  Squeals – I was so excited!  I let mommy bring it to her office to put on her desk.  That way she can look at it and (1) think of Auntie Sharon and (2) think of this little oinker during the day – snorts.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/93d/28253568/files/2015/01/img_1307.jpg

Then Auntie Sharon sent me a 2015 calendar!  OMP (Oh my pig!)  Look at these awesome pictures throughout the year.  I was so excited.  Auntie Sharon said that she had been to most of these places in Australia – WOW!  They are so beautiful.  And I’ll tell you a secret.  These pictures made dad turn a little green.  He wasn’t sick or anything.  He was green with envy – evil snorts.  He wants to visit them too.

Mom is going to hang this calendar in my bedroom for me to look at during the year.  Oh, ignore mom’s fingers int he picture.  It’s so hard to teach her how to take great pics 🙂

The next person I want to give a shout out and a thank you to is my brother Easy.  Now this is a funny tale.  Easy and his staff sent a package to me on 12/12/2014.  I didn’t get it until Friday, 01/02/2015.  Amazing huh?  If only we had strapped a camera on to this package to see the places it went!  It was rubber banded together, shrink wrapped and then taped together by the post office.  I actually had to get daddy to help me open it 🙂

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/93d/28253568/files/2015/01/img_1490.jpgBut when I did – squeals – it was like Christmas all over again!  Look at the stash that was in the bag – ALL of us anipals were so excited.  Mommy snagged the piggy calendar.. something about first dibs.  I’m not sure what that meant – snorts.  The cats grabbed their treats.  Me and Houdini grabbed the pillow and toys.  It was a blast!

And get a look at that pillow – what a catch!  The little hands stick out off of the pillow.  Houdini would get on top of it and it looked like the hands were hugging him.  OMP!  It was hilarious!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/93d/28253568/files/2015/01/img_1491.jpg

But there was one toy in the bag that is strictly Houdini’s.  He has had so much fun with this ‘newspaper’.  He grabbed it mumbling something about dibs – what is that? – and took off through the Hotel Thompson.  This thing has a high squeak and trust me.  The dog knows how to squeak his newspaper.  It was a snort of a good time for the little guy this weekend.  I played with the ball that was in the bag.  For some reason, I don’t mind pushing it around with my snout.  Not too much though because it’s still winter and I really don’t do much in the winter except sleep, eat, poop, sleep, eat, pee – snorts.  You get the picture.

So dear friends – thank YOU so very much from the bottom of all of our hearts here at the Hotel Thompson.  We really, REALLY enjoyed our gifts.

Help.

Can someone please explain to me what this is and why mommy wants one?  It looks familiar but I can’t put my snout on why.  It’s in mom’s wishlist on her Amazon account.  I don’t get it.  It looks like a giant pink thingy with buck shots in it.  Anyone… anyone all tell me what this imposter for mom’s attention does or is and why she wants.  And between us, it looks ridiculous.  Look at that tail?  It’s not even as handsome as mine – humph.  And why is wanting my mom’s attention?  I’m sorry.  I refuse to share my mom with this – this – holey want to be.  Snorts.

This Little Piggy is Just a Tad Jealous

Now, I’m not saying I’m green with envy but I am just a tad bit jealous of Albert, mom’s little Smart car.  Mom/dad took Albert out to swim today with the big kids.  Can you believe that?  He didn’t even have to wear floaties.  Aren’t you shocked?

They said he was big enough now to go out on road trips and it was raining pretty hard today.  They took him for a spin on the highway.  What fun that had to be!  Mom and dad said they got up to 70 miles per hour and Albert was having a ball.

Maybe one day soon when I overcome my anti-nature stance, I can go out and play too in the rain with the big boys?  Ya’ll know I’m playing and just having fun.  Albert’s a cool friend.
