These days, I’m closing my eyes tight and dreaming of sand, sun and palm trees. It’s just too cold outside right now for me to handle it. bbrrr – shivers. I saw this funny that I got a while back and it actually made me smile. This could be me. I love bath nights. Well, I like playing in the water. You see blowing bubbles and stomping my hooves in the water are two of my favorite things. A – it’s entertaining for this little oinker and B – I get mom soaked when I do it – snorts. It’s kind of a win-win situation for the both of us. She just doesn’t seem to look at it that way at times.
Wishing everyone a happy Friday and a great weekend my friends!!
YAY! It’s Tuesday’s Time Warp Blog Hop. My friends Mollie and Alfie at http://www.molliesdogtreats.co.uk/ and my friend Easy at http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/ are hosting a Time Warp Blog Hop today. It’s all about posting pictures about when you were small and flash forwarded to today. What an awesome idea!
I’ve looked and looked through my baby albums and found one that touched my little piggy heart and one that is more current. I hope you enjoy them my friends!
.
This is me with my mommy when she adopted me at a mere three weeks old. This was about 2.5 years ago. Look how small I was! Can you believe all of that cuteness? Those little hooves, that little snout and that small pot belly? I think between 3 weeks and 6 weeks, the only time I was on all fours was when I was eating, sleeping or using the bathroom. Other than that, I was right there in mom’s arms the entire time being cradled and comforted.
Those were great days my friends. I was a little runt and didn’t think that I would find such a home with so much love. My two other brothers and sister had already been adopted out. But mom, she took one look at me from a message sent by my biological mom and she fell in love. And you know what? I fell in love when I saw her too. The first time she held me, I put my snout in her neckline and went right to sleep. It was love at first snouting.
.
This is me now. I’ve grown just a little bit. I’m still not too big that I can’t snuggle in my mom’s arms at night while we watch television. And trust me, she tells me that I’m not too big yet that she can’t pick me up when my alter ego, deviled ham, comes out.
This is one of the rare shots you will find of me outside in nature. I’m just not a nature kind of pig. I don’t care for the grass to touch my hooves. I know that seems odd and everything but I just don’t like it. I’ll tip toe around on the grass, run around a bit but I’m just not a big fan. What can I say? I’m not your average everyday kind of barn animal piggy.
.
Oh, I shouldn’t be the only one in my Time Warp Blog Hop. This is my mom today. Hey, I gotta share the love, right? If it wasn’t for her and her dream of always wanting an oinker, I probably wouldn’t be here entertaining you with my blog.
And thank you my friends for all of the kind comments yesterday. Mommy is no longer feeling ‘magenta’. She’s feeling happy – that’s a great and wonderful color!
This isn’t good. This is not good at all. I need help my friends- LOTS of help. I need to make mommy better. She is having what she calls a ‘magenta’ kind of day. You don’t know what that is, do you? Mom is a huge fan of the Golden Girls and that’s where it comes from. This is what it means:
“Magenta…that’s what I call it when I get that way. All kinds of feelings tumbling all over themselves. Well you know, you’re not quite blue, because you’re not really sad. And although you’re a little bit jealous you wouldn’t say you’re green with envy. And every now and then you realize you’re kind of scared but you’d hardly call yourself yellow…I hate that feeling. Just hate it. And I hate the color magenta. That’s why I named it that. Magenta. No way to really explain it but, fortunately between friends you don’t have to.” ~Blanche Devereaux
You get it now? Plus she had to go to the worky place today. Magenta, Monday and work equals not a good combination. Not one particular thing can be the reason for Magenta. It’s lots of little things snowballed into one giant I need to shout it out like the kid from Home Alone.
Perhaps that would work for mommy? But then again, she’s at work and I really wouldn’t advise that in her industry. So, what do we do to get mommy out of the Magenta mood and into say a blue colorful happy color? Suggestions my friends? Anything you can help me with?
The purr things here at the Hotel Thompson have the coolest toys. They have this tube looking thing that they like to hide and play in all day long. Usually, Mouse Girl claims it and doesn’t let Hemi near it. But yesterday, I caught pictures of Hemi playing with it. It keeps them busy for hours. I wonder if they make a bigger one for humans to play with to keep them busy for hours? Hey, it’s a thought.

Then again, maybe they don’t need to make a bigger one. I think my human daddy has found a new way to play with the purr things toy. Hey, it did keep him busy for about an hour. I took a snap shot for you. Silly daddy. Toys are for kids.
I know! I’m as shocked as you are. She called daddy yesterday while I was on the couch with him. I could hear every word. She said she was in love with another miniature, she didn’t know where he had been all of her life and she wanted it to last with him forever! OMP (oh my pig!) That conversation just threw me into shock. Daddy just laughed and said he couldn’t wait to meet the new miniature in her life. Daddy – you too? CRY!
I was upset all afternoon. I had been replaced! What to do – what to do? Should I pack my little hobo pack and runaway from the Hotel Thompson? All of these thoughts kept crossing my mind.
Mom finally came home and it was weird. She greeted me at the door like she normally does. All loving and sweet words with a scratch behind my ear. What was up with this? I didn’t see my miniature replacement. I kept inquiring and daddy asked mommy did she bring it home? Bring what home mom – do tell.
Then she pulled this little package out of her coat pocket and said, “Yes, I did.” Daddy took the package and ate something out if it saying he loved the new miniatures too. Someone, anyone, throw me a bone here. What in the world is going on?!
Then mom leaned over and told me I could have ONE new miniature. Oh thank the Heavens above – *that* kind of miniature. Yep, I agree. I like the new miniature too – winks.
Mom/dad have been at it again – loose in public. Some days I just can’t trust them to go anywhere by themselves. On a recent trip out to dinner, mom found a cute little piggy at the local Cracker Barrel. She had a fit over it. I don’t know why. She has the real thing right here at home in the Hotel Thompson. Right?
Happy Friday my friends – hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Are we the only ones at the Hotel Thompson who feel like we are playing catch up due to the holidays? It seems like mom takes two steps forward and three steps backwards every day in trying to stay ahead of the game. And well me, I have great thoughts to share with all of you my friends but it is cold! This little piggy just doesn’t do cold very well.
Around the holidays, my cousin Sammy at http://onespoiledcat.wordpress.com/ sent me the most awesome gift. A piggy night light! And you know what, I didn’t have one. It is wonderful in the middle of the night helping me go to me wee-wee pad in my bedroom. I absolutely love it. It fits just right in my room that mom/dad have been painting. Do you notice the color? Barnyard red is what mom called it. I’m not sure what she is trying to tell me. You?
Thank you my dear sweet Cousin for the piggy night light – I love it!!
Happy Friday!! We made it through the first week of the year to the first Friday. Hopefully, most of the holidays are behind us now and we can start the year off with fun and chuckles. I don’t know about ya’ll, but I am still trying to get rest from Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. It’s time for this little oinker to take some major power naps this weekend and snuggle time with mom.
I saw this funny when I was staying up late New Years Eve. That was a *LONG* night. Usually I’m in bed by 10PM but mom/dad let me stay up to watch the fireworks. We had a blast.
I couldn’t pass up this funny – hope you enjoy it. I’m thinking of suggesting it to Hemi and Mouse Girl, the purr things here at the Hotel Thompson. I’m off to put on my Sumo wrestling outfit now. Happy fighting – snorts.
Miniature pot bellied pig and friends - Bacon, Houdini, Hemi and all of the Rock Clan with Journalist Rocky the Squirrel all out looking for adventures from the Hotel Thompson.
