May I Introduce a New Series

 My friends – I wanted to give you a highlight on something new I will be presenting here on my blog.

 I’ve worked hard on this for the past couple of months and some of you may have already been contacted for submissions.  Don’t worry, I’m still making the rounds and if you are interested too, please send me an email.  What is it that you ask?  Well starting this Thursday, me and the little guy here will be presenting Spotlight Thursday. 

This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better.  Some of them, you may already know and some of them may be new friends to your circles.  It’s our little way of working together to meet new friends.   We hope that you enjoy this new series and will come for our first edition this Thursday, January 7, 2016.

 

 

Interviews 4, 5 and We have a Winner!

This finding a pig sitter adventure is really tough!  I don’t think mom or dad thought it would be this complicated.  The date is getting closer!  We keep hearing the clock – tick tock tick tock.  I actually think mom was getting in panic mode.

Mom/dad had interviews again yesterday.  I think we may have a winner.  Keep your fingers crossed – I’m keeping my hooves crossed.

 Each person is told the same thing.  Mom/dad are looking for a pig sitter, someone that would be with me most of the time.  With the exception of school, a date, etc.  I have a schedule that needs to be maintained to my standards.  That means, the individual gets free rent and food while they are here with me.  AND, they are getting paid to keep me company, feed me and basically be at my beck and call.  Snorts – okay well that’s how I took it anyway.

Interview 4 –  Snorts – I don’t even really need to say anything here – NEXT.  Okay, that’s not going to get it with you huh?  You want details on this NEXT?  Let’s just say the guy wore more make-up than mommy and had black fingernails.  Uh-oh not going to happen.  N.E.X.T.  This guy scared me more than any of the stories of my 31 Days of Spook.  I jumped off the sofa and RAN to my bedroom squealing.  I even slammed the door.  I would have locked it if I could have reached the door knob.  That was scary!

Interview 5 –  We have a WINNER!!

After much encouragement – darn this pot belly – I came out for interview 5.  I’m glad I did.  Her name is Hannah and she is heaven.  She smelled like baby powder and had the prettiest smile.  I immediately walked up to her and I didn’t scare her.  What?  A taker?  I jumped on the couch and again it didn’t startle her.  She petted me and I got a little bit closer.  She talked to mom/dad and petted me with the softest hands.  I think I’m in love.  She was my Hannah.  She didn’t even cringle when mom went over the details of taking care of me.  You know, like cleaning my box, cooking for me and playing with me.  Oh WOW!  So, when are mom/dad going away?  I have an angel that’s going to take care of me my friends.  I can’t wait.

 

Wish Me Luck – More Interviews

Okay – I’m going to have my extra cute on for Sunday.  Just like in this picture, I can’t be nice too.  Just look closer, I let Hemi sleep on top of me.

Mom says I have to bring out all of the stops for hopefully what will be the last interviews Sunday.  There are two scheduled.  Please wish me luck and send every possible good vibe my way.  I gotta find someone.

Mom told me to list the points I wanted in a pig sitter so I thought I’d give a shot.

• Nice personality.
• I would prefer a woman but the right man would do.
• Loves pigs.  This is a must.
• Will love on me.  This means cuddles on the sofa, keeping me warm and rubbing my belly and back.
• Knows how to tell a bedtime story.  What?  This is highly important to my list since mommy does it every night.  And might I add, don’t forget my strawberry on my pillow.
• Knows how to cook an awesome spinach omelet… or pancake.  This is what I get on the weekends.  Salads are easy enough to throw together and who can mess up my Cheerios for breakfast?  OOOHH, and don’t forget one that knows how to pop popcorn the old fashioned way – the way that was meant to be on the stove without burning it.  eeww – no one wants burned popcorn.
• Someone that kind of keeps to the television schedule that dad has accustomed me to during the week.  Not a high demand because I can always go to my room and use my own television but that cuts out on some snuggle time.

 

These aren’t ‘high’ demands.  I mean, mom/dad are paying them to take care of and be my beck and call sitter, right?  So basically you’re telling them it’s all about this domesticated down to earth highly educated oinker, right?  Let’s just hope they look at the situation the same way as me – snorts.

I’ll keep you posted.  Keep your fingers, paws and hooves crossed for me.

 

Interviews 1, 2 and 3 Done – NEXT

NEXT!

Yep, this is how I felt about pig sitting interviews 1, 2 and 3 – it was a HUGE snoozefest.  Time is ticking away to find me a pig sitter so mom/dad scheduled three interviews yesterday at the Hotel Thompson.  Who knew it would be so difficult to find a pig sitter – snorts.

I do admit though, the interviews were kind of funny.  I thought I would share.

Interview 1 –

Nice young man in college.  He had great potential… I thought.  All for the free food, free rent.  He didn’t even mind keeping me company.  BUT, things went down rather fast when he was told he would have to clean up my potty box.  As he put it, “Why couldn’t I use the outside.”  Apparently he didn’t understand that I’m an inside piggy – NEXT

Interview 2 –

This was the most hilarious interview of the entire day.  I actually squealed I was laughing so hard.  Nice young woman.  She came into the house, sat down and then saw me on mom’s lap sleeping.  She had a fear on her face that was priceless.  She thought the paper had a typo and should have said PUG as in a dog and not PIG.  Snorts – She left.  Apparently, she’s not used to dealing with such a fine domesticated pig – NEXT

Interview 3 –

This one also had great potential.  Older lady in the neighborhood… kind of grandmotherly type.  It would have been convenient to say the least.  But, apparently she didn’t realize that there would be cooking for me.  As she so bluntly put it, “Why can’t he just have pig feed like normal pigs?”  Really?  Do I ‘look’ like a normal pig??  – NEXT

So more interviews will be coming in the next couple of weeks.  Time is getting down on us at this point.  Is there anyone out there willing to take care of loveable, snuggable me?  I’m having my doubts at this point.
