Squeals – Guess Who is Home?

Oh Squeals my friends – guess who made it home??  That pet-rock of mine Bashful!

He came knocking on the front door of the Hotel Thompson late Monday afternoon.  I was so excited.  I could hear the little tyke snoring in the box and knew exactly what it was.  Of course, daddy said I had to wait until mommy got home from the worky place to let Bashful out to freedom.  And that was good because the little guy was snoring so sweetly – imagine the trip across the pond.  I would have been passed out too!

But once mommy got home and the box was opened – oh my piggy heavens.  Bashful was non-stop talking about all of his adventures with sweet Fozzie in Australia.  WOW – did he do bunches of cool things.  One of the things was he went up in a hot air balloon and not only soared with the clouds but got a certificate about it as well.  OMP Squeals!!   If you want to read all about Bashful’s travels and adventures while in Australia, a great place to start will be here.

And look at all of the treats Bashful came home with – double squeals.  Me and mom were fighting dad off of the cookies.  They are so delicious!!   And of course, Bashful came home with friends…. but that’s another story for another posting that is coming soon.  Real soon.  Be ready my friends – it’s a stunner!

Guess Who Came Home?!

 Jumping all around and squealing.  Guess who came home yesterday. Go ahead – guess.  Can you guess?  Do you know?  Do you want a hint?  Go ahead guess.  BASHFUL my international rolling stone.  He’s been spending time with my buddy Speedy in the United Kingdom the past couple of months.  He has told all of us some awesome stories of adventures he had with Speedy.  They danced and boogied to the radio.  Played in the garden together.  Met some ponies and some girls ❤  And of course some things that happened in the United Kingdom – stays in the United Kingdom – snorts.

The mailman delivered a box to the steps of the Hotel Thompson and once we opened it, we found a booty of goodies.  Bashful dressed like a pirate.  Pirate coins, notebooks and a sleeping bag!  Can you believe the goodies?!

And you know what?  Bashful came home with a friend – cheers, screams and snorts.  May we present to you Speedy Rock to the left.  Awesome – spectacular – fun – amazing.  Look at the resemblance to Speedy – all the way to the ears to the bushy tail.  OMP (oh my pig!)  We were snorting with delight here.

And the gals – Princess Coralena, Virginia, Rockelle and Koishi were falling all over him and his accent… or was it his eye patch?  I think they are all in ❤ and hey – what’s there not to be in love with, right?

Thanks Speedy for showing my tyke a most excellent adventure.  And I guess that brings up the next question.  Just where in the world will Bashful show up next?  And to those that have signed up on the list to host Bashful, don’t give up.  We are slowly working down the list.  It might take a while, but it will get to you.

 

 

And He’s Off –

Well, my little international rolling stone is off again into the blue wide yonder.   Sniff – sniff – cry – cry.

I have so much enjoyed the little tyke being home here at the Hotel Thompson with all of us for the past couple of months.  We had so much going on with Valentine’s Day and family visiting.  Now though, it’s back to the travels of my little star rock Bashful.

Where has he gone?  Where will he show up?  What will he do?  All good questions but I’m not spilling the beans – I don’t care how much you encourage or bribe me – snorticles.

Only my mom who saw him off and the receiving host family know where he will end.  Any guesses though?  Anyone want to take bets that he will find trouble?  🙂  PLOL (Piggy Laughing Out Loud).

 

BOLO REPORT!!

This is an All Points Rock Bulletin –

Please be on the lookout for one missing pet rock.  The missing pet rock goes by the name of Bashful.  Bashful has been known to travel internationally to the nether regions of the world and to hang out in bars with the underlords.  Don’t let his demure look fool you.  Although his name is innocent, he is not.  He is a known womanizer.  Just look at the grin on his face – now we all know why it is permanent.

If you see this rock culprit, do not approach or apprehend him for fear you will be his next victim. He has the morals of a rolling stone and the suaveness of the spy double oh seven and a half.

Where in the World is … ?

Do you know Waldo?  Do you recognize the iconic red/white striped shirt, the matching bobble hat, those glasses?

Waldo is based on a series of children’s books created by British illustrator Martin Handford.  Books have pictures of numerous different types of people as illustrations with Waldo thrown into the mix somewhere.  Readers of the books are challenged in finding Waldo – thus Where’s Waldo?  In the USA, we love to find Waldo.

In fact, true story – one time mom and my Aunt Tina stopped in a Hooters I believe somewhere in Louisiana.  They were eating, not much drinking had started – snorts, when Aunt Tina spewed beer all over mom laughing.  After mom wiped off, Aunt Tina told mommy three o’clock.  If you didn’t know, that’s girl talk for look to your right but do it without being too noticeable.  Mom looked at her three o’clock and almost peed in her pants from laughing.  A guy was sitting all alone at a high top table and looked just like Waldo – all the way down to his red/white shirt and glasses.  It was too much for them.  They couldn’t stop laughing.  Aunt Tina actually took a picture.  I’m so going to have to find that picture to share with ya’ll.  It was a snort of a good time for those two in Hooters.

You’re probably asking yourself, “Pig, why are you talking about Waldo?”  Well, I’m glad you asked my friends. This brings us to the most important question of the month – okay maybe not the *most* important but close to it.

Where’s Bashful?  That’s right.  Where in the World is Bashful, my international rolling pet stone?

Bashful has taken flight to his next undisclosed secret destination host family.  Where will he go?  What troubles will he find?  What misadventures will he get into?

His time at the Hotel Thompson was cut short this layover.  I think there was a lot of tension in the air between Princess Coralena and Rockelle fighting for Bashful’s affection.  I think Bashful just wanted to get away from both of them to think about what he wants in life.

This time is interesting.  Both ladies are being very polite right now.  We shall see what this separation does for all of them.

Bashful is Off Again!

It seems like these days, Bashful comes home for a short rest, some fun with the family and then he’s off again to the unknown.  He came home from Virginia, went to the beach with mom/dad and stayed with us for about a week.

He introduced us all to Virginia who came home with him from his last adventure with Stuart.  Don’t let her demure looks fool you.  That girl knows how to rock some red lipstick and has a wicked sense of humor.  We all got to socialize last week and listen to Bashful’s adventures with Stuart.  They did so much!  And there was some things we can’t mention 🙂

We all helped him pack to his next mysterious destination Friday night.  Saturday morning, we all said adios and watched as mom/dad took him off to the airport.

Mom says that it never gets easy.  Of course, she cried and waited until she saw his plane take off.  She’s such a softy!

So where will he end up at?

So far, this is where he has been:

His first adventure –

He went to see Easy (http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/) in Plumieux, France.  Talk about trouble – snorts.  He had a grand time there.

So let’s add up the mileage shall we.  4,186.00 one way = total trip give or take 8,372.0 miles.

His second adventure –

He went to see Stuart (http://scottiechronicles.com/) in Richmond, Virginia.  He did get in lock down here and even ran away with Stuart!  He also got into some ‘scotch on the rock’ – snorts.

So let’s add up the mileage on this one.  543.7 one way = total trip give or take 1,087.40 miles

Where will he end up this time?  Looks innocently around – I’m not saying.  The little rock has traveled over 9,459.40 miles so far on these two trips.  All I will tell you is (A) he needs to start accruing frequent rock flying miles – snorts and (B) this destination is further than these two combined :0 shocker huh?

Sniff – Sniff – Cry – Cry –

Safe travels my dear Bashful –

This morning was the day. Bashful left for his trip afar. None of us thought it was going to be as emotional as it was. We all woke up this morning and none of us were in a real talkative mood. Bashful was so excited last night that he didn’t go to bed until sometime in the early hours this morning. When I got him up this morning he was tired – but happy and excited.

We all had his favorite for breakfast – Coco Pebbles cereal – and talked about his new adventure. Mom/dad told him to be on his best behavior and that they didn’t want any phone calls or emails that he was misbehaving in any way.

Mom/dad took Bashful to his pediarocktrician yesterday. They gave him a clean bill of health and gave him a shot for motion sickness. I hope that it lasts his entire trip.

I, Bacon and Mouse Girl all said our goodbye’s to the little guy this morning at the house. Mom/dad took him to the airport for his flight. Daddy said that mom totally collapsed and cried like there was a faucet turned on full force. Poor mom – she’s so sentimental like that. She just stood at the window watching the plane load up and take off. She wouldn’t even leave the airport until they couldn’t see the plane anymore. Poor thing – I’ll have to give her extra snuggles tonight.

Thank goodness Bashful got his Passrockport. He needed it this morning going through customs and checking in for his flight. Since he’s under age, the flight attendant said she would take good care of him. He even earned his wings – cool huh on Delta? For his flight meal, he is going to get rockstew. I *know* he will be excited about that. It’s one of his favorites.

The only thing we are not too sure about is the flight movie. Since it’s such a long flight, they are

showing Castaway. This kind of worries me. Let’s just hope that the movie doesn’t cross over into reality. I’m not too sure how Bashful would do stranded on a tropical island. He burns really easy.

So to the host family – you *know* who you are 🙂 He should be arriving in about 6-10 days. It’s a really, REALLY long flight – snorts. I hope you have loads of fun with Bashful and we can’t wait to read about his adventures. Take plenty of pictures and have FUN!
