Time Warp Blog Hop

YAY!  It’s Tuesday’s Time Warp Blog Hop.  My friends Mollie and Alfie at http://www.molliesdogtreats.co.uk/ and my friend Easy at  http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/ are hosting a Time Warp Blog Hop today.  It’s all about posting pictures about when you were small and flash forwarded to today.  What an awesome idea!

I’ve looked and looked through my baby albums and found one that touched my little piggy heart and one that is more current.  I hope you enjoy them my friends!

This is me with my mommy when she adopted me at a mere three weeks old.  This was about 2.5 years ago.  Look how small I was!  Can you believe all of that cuteness?  Those little hooves, that little snout and that small pot belly?  I think between 3 weeks and 6 weeks, the only time I was on all fours was when I was eating, sleeping or using the bathroom.  Other than that, I was right there in mom’s arms the entire time being cradled and comforted.

Those were great days my friends.  I was a little runt and didn’t think that I would find such a home with so much love.  My two other brothers and sister had already been adopted out.  But mom, she took one look at me from a message sent by my biological mom and she fell in love.  And you know what?  I fell in love when I saw her too.  The first time she held me, I put my snout in her neckline and went right to sleep.  It was love at first snouting.

This is me now.  I’ve grown just a little bit.  I’m still not too big that I can’t snuggle in my mom’s arms at night while we watch television.  And trust me, she tells me that I’m not too big yet that she can’t pick me up when my alter ego, deviled ham, comes out.

This is one of the rare shots you will find of me outside in nature.  I’m just not a nature kind of pig.  I don’t care for the grass to touch my hooves.  I know that seems odd and everything but I just don’t like it.  I’ll tip toe around on the grass, run around a bit but I’m just not a big fan.  What can I say?  I’m not your average everyday kind of barn animal piggy.

Oh, I shouldn’t be the only one in my Time Warp Blog Hop.  This is my mom today.  Hey, I gotta share the love, right?  If it wasn’t for her and her dream of always wanting an oinker, I probably wouldn’t be here entertaining you with my blog.

And thank you my friends for all of the kind comments yesterday.  Mommy is no longer feeling ‘magenta’.  She’s feeling happy – that’s a great and wonderful color!

Happy Time Warp Blog Hop my friends!

I’m a Bunny – snort

Mom has been making fun of me the past couple of mornings.  I’ve been watching the bunnies in the back yard too much from my window in my bedroom.  I’ve seen how they move.  How quick they are.  How comical they look.  So when I come out of my room, I’ve been trying to make myself look like a bunny jumping down the hall.  It really is fun for me but mom finds it really hysterical.  She laughs at me and tells me, “Bacon, you’re a pig not a rabbit”.  I just snort and continue jumping down the hall.  I think its fun, almost like a game.  Mom says that she is going to try to video tape me doing it this weekend.

I’m not really sure why mom is so surprised that I’m trying to act like a bunny.  I mean, really, let’s think about this.  What do bunnies eat?  Bingo – carrots.  What did I just get 5 pounds of for Christmas?  Right again, carrots.  I eat them constantly around the house.  You would think that with as many carrots that I eat, two things would happen.

(1) I would be a bunny because I have the tendency to look at mom while I’m eating a carrot and say, “What’s up Doc?”  (for you younger generation, check out Bugs Bunny on television – it’s one of my favorite cartoons to watch on my television); and

(2) I would have a much better vision capacity but I don’t.  Carrots have a lot of Vitamin A in them which is suppose to help with eyesight.  It’s not just a myth or something your mother made up to eat your veggies.  There’s documented proof.  With that information, you would think with as many carrots as I eat that I would be able to see through walls!  Unfortunately, pigs have very bad eyesight but don’t feel sorry for me yet.  What we lack in vision, we make up in smell.  Mom says I’m better than a beagle or basset hound when it comes to smell.  Heck, I think I would be a fantastic P9 (Pig-Nine)… you nothing something like a K9 (Canine) working for the police department.  I can track things down like you wouldn’t believe!  But, hey, I digress… that’s another post all together – snort LOL

So for now, I’m a bunny.  Why don’t you hop around a couple of times today to think about me.
