What if today, we decide to do this.

We can be grateful for everything.  Just for one day today.  Keep a smile on our face and a pep in our step.  Have an off limit kind of stress free day.

Happy Blog Anniversary to Me!

On October 9, 2011 I posted my very first blog with this picture of me next to a Pepsi can.  It was just a couple of days that mommy had adopted and brought me home to the Hotel Thompson.  Underneath this picture, I wrote:

Hello my fellow friends!  I will rule that Pepsi can one day!  Can’t wait to blog my adventures.  Check back frequently for fun.  Smooches.

And as they say, “It’s all they wrote”.  I’ve been blogging every since, having fun, making great and wonderful friends and hopefully making everyone smile and laugh.  It’s been a long journey through lots of ups and downs.

Others have joined my adventure from the Hotel Thompson so this blog has grown with friends.

I’ve added trivia to my blog.  

I’ve added the Dear Bacon issues which are absolutely the highlight of my week.  (I LOVE getting pictures and letters from everyone – thank you – you make these Dear Bacon issues so popular!).

Journalist Rocky the Squirrel keeps us aware of all of the not so known holidays of the year.  He’s a great friend that hangs out in my magical back yard.  He’s often found knocking on the back door of the Hotel Thompson asking for cut of nuts.

Hemi and Mouse Girl highjack my page every so often.  I fuss but it’s all in great fun.

Bashful, Manny and Princess Coralena have been a great addition to the Hotel Thompson and my blog.  That Bashful of mine has turned into a wonderful international rolling stone traveling every where and recording his trips here.  Manny and Princess Coralena have come to live with us here and it’s so nice to hear them laughing down the halls.

And the biggest accomplishment I’ve had in two years… meeting so many wonderful and cherished friends from all over the world right here in blogville.

Without you, I would be talking to myself and well I do enough of that here at the Hotel Thompson – snorts.  I don’t think I can ever express just how much *YOU* have touched this little piggies life.  I guess you can say that you’ve helped my inner pig come out and play.  That means the world to me my friends.

Thank you so much.  Thank you for listening to my rambling, my piggy stories and adventures and stories of mom/dad.  This pig has a lot more to write about!

I’m so piggy excited. My tail just can’t stop wagging. Miss Harper (who I’m secretly in love with – sshh), gave me “The Explorer Dog Award”. Even though I’m a piggy, she said that she was making “ME” an honorary dog for the occasion. I’m so excited that I just can’t hide it!

• Dakota at http://dakotasden.net/ YAY! This is another friend that always helps me keep my calendar of important events. And we all know that this little piggie needs all the help he can get in keeping straight!

• Have you ever found anything exciting/interesting while exploring? One time I went into the room of the forbidden. Shivers – I found something stuffed on the wall. • What do you like to explore more – beach or park? I’ve never been to either at this point in my little life. But, mom and dad talk about the beach all.of.the.time. And, I’ve seen plenty of pictures of where they have been in the past. One day, I would like to explore their beach so I’m going beach.

• What is your favorite post you have written? Link to it. This is really hard to pick just one post. I love all of my posts -. especially my Dear Bacon issues. They bring me a lot of happiness and laughter. But, with a lot of thinking and reading I narrowed it down to the one that really changed my life. It is when “I” adopted Bashful and he came to live with us at the Hotel Thompson. Liebster Award – YAY!

I AM SO HONORED!! 

I have been awarded the Liebster Award from my friends Noel the Christmas Cat and the rest of the DogDaz zoo:  Louise, Sofie, Nine, Stella and Mom at dogdaz.wordpress.com – go check them out when you get a chance.  You gotta love their posts!!

They gave me this award last Thursday – sorry for the delay in getting back.  We actually put all laptops and phones up on the fireplace mantel this weekend since mom was home for three days.  We spent quality time together away from gadgets.  It was refreshing.

They left me some questions that I’m to answer.  I’ll then create some questions for my three nominated peeps to answer.  Isn’t this fun!?  It’s a great way to meet new people and learn about them.  I’m so excited! 

1. What is your favorite hiding place?  Well, I use to hide behind the sofa but now that my belly has progressed (yeah I like that), I can’t get back there anymore.  It’s kind of hard to hide something this great.

2. If you could talk to your human for 5 minutes in their language, what would you say?  OOHH, this is good.  I would have to tell mommy how much I love her, how thankful I am that she adopted me and my life at the Hotel Thompson is so blessed.

3. What is your most favorite food?  This is a hard decision.  I like a LOT of food.  I guess my favorite would be watermelon.  I love watermelon.  The rind, the melon and the juice!

4. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?  I would like to step my hooves in the water at Tybee Island.  It’s a dream.  It might happen one day. 

5. Do you have a hero?  Maxwell.  You know, from the Geico commercials.  He is my idol.  He is the most happening pig around.  He’s a movie pigstar!  One day, I will be that famous!

6. Do you have a bed time?  Yep, I have a piggy routine.  Sunday thru Thursday my bedtime is 9:00pm.  Friday and Saturday I get to stay up as late as I want. 

7. What makes you laugh? Anything that makes mommy laugh, makes me laugh.  When she smiles, I smile.

8. What do you do that makes others laugh?  When I fall at moms feet for her to love me and rub my belly.  When I jump on the sofa with mom to watch television.  When I fall asleep when mommy is telling me my bedtime story before bed. 

9. Does anything scare you?  Okay but you can’t tell anyone.  Come closer – I’m afraid of the dark.  Shivers, it’s so dark!

10. Do you know how to dance?  I’ve tried but I keep stepping on moms feet.  Do you know how it feels to have a hoove step on your toes?  Mom says it hurts – snort.
