Spotlight Thursday
Welcome my friends to SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY. This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better. Some of them, you may already know. We hope that you enjoy this series!

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents? Well, I was a rescue from San Antonio and my mom met me at an adoption event. She was looking at another and my thought was she looks like the kind of person who will love me forever. I went up to her and the rest is history. (My secret was giving her a kiss)
What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home? I met my dad and he said, “This is the most beautiful fur person on Earth.” I knew that I had arrived.
What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? One night there were a lot of people over for drinks and canapés . Someone suggested going onto the deck to see the moon. While they were gone my sister and I ate everything we could find. Although I enjoyed the food I did think there would be a consequence. Turns out a visit to the vet was the only punishment. We never got another chance to do it again.
Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? I would say my mom. She is smaller than dad and I can fit nicely on her couch when she is on it too. Old dad takes too much room. Mom always welcomes me when it is time for a snuggle.
What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you? Because I’m a boxer and look like a bulldog people think I’m a bulldog. I get a number of people doubting I’m a boxer especially since I’m white in color. Of course, the minute they come near I give them the boxer greeting which includes a big kiss.

Age: A Lady never tells her age! So we guesstimate a year…
Location: Pennsylvania….a long way from Tennessee (where I was born)! I was rescued from a high-kill shelter.
What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents? Is this really it? Am I in my forever home? Will they put up with all my shenanigans? Will they keep me, even though I am a tad under the weather right now? (THEY ARE!!!)
What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home? When I attacked my new brother and they did not throw me out!
What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? One moment?…well there have been quite a few…I seem to have a penchant for knocking glass things off tables. I have broken two so far.
Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? Hmmm, I think it is really pretty equal. Mom puts up with some things and Dad others. But, Dad does keep telling Mom when I do something naughty …” aw she’s just a kitten!”
What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you? That I am a real push over because of my beauty! That I suffer from blonde syndrome….well don’t mess with me. I am beautiful, smart, cunning and charming! And I will use all my wiles to get exactly what I want!

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents? Licking their big faces!
What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home? .All the green grass and being cuddled day and night.
What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? When I learned to open all doors!
Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? Dad says Mom. She’s a lover.
What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you? I’m smarter than think I am.

Name: Toby Wilson
Age: I am twelve years old. My birthday was July 18th.
Location: I live in Hampton, Ga with my Mom, dad, and my brother, Max( he’s 4 and he doesn’t look like me but he’s brother all the same.

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents? Hmmm my first thoughts when I met my new parents. I think I was about six and when my other dad brought me to their house I didn’t realize I was staying. When I got there I ran up the stairs and all over the house and then something happened. My new Mom took me for a walk. I peed on all the mailboxes in the neighborhood. Oh I hope it’s OK I said peed. It was so much. Then we went back to the house and I looked all over the house for my dad (now my former dad) and I couldn’t find him no where. I laid at the top of the stairs and waited for him to come back. I was sad. My new mom petted me trying to make feel better but I just wanted my mom and dad t
o get me. Then later my new dad came in and I barked at him and then you know what happened? My new dad and mom took me for a walk and I peed on the mailboxes again. It took me a little while to realize my first mom and dad weren’t coming back but now I wouldn’t give anything for my new mom and dad now( well actually they’re not new anymore). I still get to see my old my mom and dad sometimes, which is great, but I prefer my new mom and dad.
What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home? I’m not sure. I know love the things my mom and dad do with me. They will give me belly rubs when I ask. I get a lots of treats. They even let me have food from their plate. I love my mom and dad and love being here with them forever.
What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? My “Oh No moment” is when I just have to poop in the house when mom and dad are gone. I have to cover it up so they don’t see it. I use some of Max’s toys to cover it with in hopes they don’t see it but somehow they still see and scold me. But when it’s my mom, she’ll feel bad and still give me a treat. I so love her. 
Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? My mom is so wrapped around my paws. She will do anything for me. I just look her and she says, “OK Toby, but only one treat”. I finish that one and I look at her again and she’ll give me another one. She picks me up and holds me whenever I want her to. Not my Dad. He’ll say I have enough.
What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you? The biggest misconception humans think about me when a car starts without me in it and I start barking at it and I won’t let them leave. They think I am scared of the car but that’s not it at all. I just want to go for a ride. I don’t know why they won’t take me for a ride. I really am a fun guy.
