Spotlight Thursday
Welcome my friends to SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY. This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better. Some of them, you may already know. We hope that you enjoy this series!
Name: Jasper (a Fox Red Labrador who is full of life, love and bounce)
Age: 11 months
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
Web/Blog Page: https://jasperthefoxred.wordpress.com/
What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents? mmm, this one is tricky but I remember thinking that my mum was the softie (boy was I wrong). I picked my parents tho, so it wasn’t so hard for them. In fact the first day I met my pawparents I slept the whole time in my mums arms.
What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home? Definitely when I got my big boy bed and I get to roam outside my crate. I don’t but I like to have the option y’know.
What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? There has been a few, although not technically ‘in the home’ it was as far as I’m willing to push my paw parents. But there was one day we were driving out the beach (for me) and I managed to get under the passenger seat of the car and chew the entire way through the cables under the seat. One of these cables happened to be attached to the airbag. Safe to say, I was in trouble.
Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? Easily my Dad and for so many reasons. My mum is the boss, so that’s that. My dad is the play man he comes home from work just to play with me I think…. He gives me treats when I ‘kinda’ so the tricks my mums showed me. Other reasons include that if I want something if I bark for long enough my dad gives in, my mum just digs her heels in more or sends me to bed.
What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you? Interesting question. I think sometimes they think I need more exercise than I do to be sleepy. I actually really enjoy chilling out on my rug after a morning walk and sleeping all day. Don’t worry mum I’m not bored or under stimulated I am just genuinely dreaming of chasing rabbits and saving my energy for tug of war when dad gets home!
Hope you enjoyed meeting my friend – check back next week for another Spotlight edition!
