Java Truck

Mom had a dream last night.  Rolls piggy eyes – who would have thought it would have *anything* to do with food.  She is my mommy – snorts!

Mom told me and dad about her dream.  That’s when dad came up with a brilliant idea.  What if… now go with me on this… what if instead of ice cream trucks that came through your neighborhood there was Java trucks?

Mom did a little research and there are areas that have food trucks that have this option which would be cool.  But what about a neighborhood Java truck like around 7AM every day?  I know for sure mommy would be running out with robe, slippers and curlers in her hair every morning to get a cup.  What about you?  Wouldn’t it just be a hit and pure awesome?

And hey – donuts would just be a perk – hint hint.

 

How I Got Back on Mom’s Good Side

Just imagine you are on a date with your spouse and then your cell phone goes off with a text message.  You know by the sound of the ring that it’s from one of your kids.  You go to look at it and WOW – it’s a text from ME – Bacon.  Who could stay mad at this little oinker for long?  Especially when I’m giving you a heads up about free coffee!  Mommy is a sucker for coffee.

After mom and dad’s date they did go to Dunkin Donuts.  Mommy didn’t get the free coffee.  She got the pumpkin white chocolate latte.  She said it was delicious.  I wouldn’t know because she didn’t give me a taste of it… BUT, she did bring me some donut holes. 🙂

So, that is how you get back on mommy’s good list.  She drunk her coffee while I was in her lap getting snuggles.  Everything is back to being good at the Hotel Thompson.

Oh, and what?  Doesn’t every pig have an iPhone?  It’s only the 3G that mom used to have but it still works for these emergency type situations – snorts.

Keeping my paws on the nuts of the world!

 

 

June 7th.  What a wonderful day.  Not only is it Friday but it’s also National Donut Day!  Who could ask for anything more?  It doesn’t matter what kind you like – partake in a doughnut today.  There’s many places even offering a free doughnut just for this one day – National Donut Day.  In our area, Krispy Kreme is offering a free one.  So for today, splurge and eat one to celebrate.  But the main question is – can you just eat one?

History of National Donut Day – did you know that this day was created by the Salvation Army in 1938?  It was created as a fundraiser to help the needy during the Great Depression and to honor the women who served doughnuts to military members during World War I.  About 250 Salvation Army volunteers provided assistance to America troops in France during the war.  And the kicker – Salvation Armys’ Ensign Margaret Sheldon and Adjutant Helen Purviance cleverly thought of frying the doughnuts in the troops’ helmets.  How creative!

Whatever flavor you decide to pick – enjoy this holiday.  I’m sure that little chompers we call Bacon will enjoy a couple.  Heck, I might even too if the Hotel Thompson throws me out a couple – hint hint.
