Knock Knock – Who’s There?

I’m not sure what was going on at the Hotel Thompson this morning but there was a lot of commotion. And the biggest thing, my schedule was off.  This is not good in this little pig’s life.  I have to maintain my schedule.  I should have known something was off because after breakfast, mom wasn’t in a hurry to go to the worky place  I had to double check my calendar to make sure that it was a work day for her and it was.  This liitle pig got confused.

Then, she put me down for my nap and put the purr things in my room with me.  That’s really odd because we *all* know that my room is well MY room.  But mommy said it wouldn’t be for long.

And then the strangest thing happened.  I heard people on the roof top.  I only hear that once a year when the big jolly ole Santa Pig comes.  Why would there be people up there now?  And they were making a lot of noise.  It sounded like they were dancing and doing jumping jacks up on the roof top.  I just kept thinking that they were going to fall through my little ceiling.

Every once in a while they would stop and I could hear murmurs.  One of the voices sounded like mom.  How did she get up there?  And who was she talking to?  This was quite the little mystery for this little porker.

And then, all got quiet.  The stomping noise stopped.  The talking stopped.  I heard car doors and then mom/dad came back inside of the house.  They opened my bedroom door and I came out to find out what was going on.  The purr things – they slept through the entire party!  Can you believe that?

Mom/dad said that people had come to look at our roof.  I’m not sure why.  I mean it’s not like it’s something spectacular or anything.  Just a roof.  Mom/dad mentioned something about a price quote for a …. what was the word… it was long… replacement!  That’s it.  So, I guess we are going to be getting a new roof.  Mom said that it would make it easier for Santa and his sleigh this Christmas.  I sure hope so.  I’ll keep you posted my friends.

P.S.  I wonder when they come back, can I go up on the roof top and play?  Hey MMMOOOMMMM –

I Like to Move It – Move It

Snort chuckles. Last night was movie night at the Hotel Thompson. Bashful picked Madagascar 2. We popped some popcorn, settled down on the sofa in the living room and the fun began. That is really an upbeat kind of movie. We were dancing and singing. It was a hoot! You have to love the animals -Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria. And don’t forget those penguins! PLOL

I remembered that I found some funnies that I wanted to share with everyone. I also – of course for your entertainment – left you the video so you can move it – move it – snort PLOL

They Call Me Tiny Swine Dancer

Check out my jazz hooves – I gotta keep it moving – shaking it to the right – shaking it to the left – shake your hiney.  No need for a reason – come on my friends – shake your hiney – uh huh – that’s it – move it – move it.

I think I can busta move like no one’s business.  They call me the party pig.  I’ve even been known to get mom up from the couch and shake her bon-bons with me.  You know you want to get up with me now and dance, don’t you?  Go ahead, no one’s looking.

I like ballet.

I’ve seen some famous Russian ballet dancers like Anna Pavlova,  Mikhail Baryshnikov and Rudolf Nureyev perform.  They are totally awesome!  I can’t believe they dance and move so freely on their itty bitty toes.  I’m not a big fan of the tights because well we all know that my pot belly is not made for them.  It would show all of my fat rolls in a bad way.  Also, my hooves won’t allow me to dance like them but I found a sweetheart that looks great in a tutu.  If only I could meet her in real life – I think we could dance the night away.  Hubba Hubba my sweets

  I like square dancing.

This type of dance is done all over the world!  Hey, when they play the upbeat music the announcer tells you what to do.  As long as you know the moves, your’re good to go.  And if you don’t know the moves, it’s easy to pick up and flow.  I think it’s fun when they say things like:  swing your partner; bow to your partner and bow to your corner; do sa do; promenade and partner trade.  So much fun!

I like tap dancing.

This I *can* do.  In fact, my floor in my bedroom is like a tile that echoes nicely when I attempt to tap dance.  I’m not calling myself a Sammy Davis Jr or  a Gregroy Hines but I think I can keep up with them.  Every since I watched Mumble in Happy Feet, I absolutely knew that this dance was made for me – for sure!

I like Broadway dancing.

Of course I can’t hold up to the greats like Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Ann-Margret or Patrick Swayze for that matter.  I’m not what do they say – light on my hooves.  Although I do love to watch them on television.  They don’t just dance – they float!  It’s remarkable to watch them.  They make it look so easy.  Very talented people – very talented!

I like to WATCH belly dancing.

Snort – that’s right I said it.  I like to *watch* belly dancing.  Did you really expect me, a male pig, to say I like to belly dance – snort.  Nope, not me.  Although, like I said – I do like to watch it when mom attempts to do it.  Again, I said attempt.  I like it when she wears that shiny noisy thing around her waist and makes it sing.  That really piques this pigs interest.

I like Pop dancing.

I have to bow out of this one though. My hooves really hold me back on this style.  And really, this little pig can not compare to some wonderful, talented people out there.  You know the ones like:  Michael Jackson, MC Hammer, Beyonce, and Janet Jackson just to name a few.  I love to watch them on MTV and I dream of one day performing like that, but that’s just it – a dream.

I hope you enjoyed my dance breakdown.  Which one do you prefer?

Elvis Pig

I listed to some new music this weekend.  When mom was cleaning the house, she put Elvis on.  That was some fantastic swinging music.  I couldn’t help but to shake my hiney.  Me and mommy even danced a bit together.  It was fun.  Maybe next time, daddy can take a picture of us.  I even helped her clean.

I think I’m going to practice up on my singing.  Maybe I can become Elvis Pig.  I think I would be awesome singing Heartbreak Hotel!
