Daddy Needs Anger Management

My dad needs help.  Really he does.  He has an addiction to the game Angry Birds.  I think I need to sign him up for this class.

Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER my dear friends

((HOGS AND KISSES)) it’s a wonderful and joyous day!

I love Easter.  I love everything about it.  I love the fun.  I love the excitement.  I love the actual meaning of Easter.  I love it all!

Mom makes is so special for all of us.  Mom gave the purr things their little basket.  She was going to take a picture of it but too late – they got to it.  There was little pieces of grass everywhere from their straw basket.  They got cat treats, a bag of Iams – their favorite and a couple of play mice.  They were happy – more so for the basket and grass at first – snorts.  Silly purr things.

Dad loves his Angry Birds games so this year mom tried to decorate the eggs in their colors.  Didn’t turn out as good as last year but dad absolutely loved them.  Me, of course I favored the piggy one.  What more I favored was what was inside of the egg. Snorts – I do love my food.

And me?  You asked what did the Easter Bunny bring me?  ALL kinds of goodies.

20130312-101826.jpg

I got a yearly pot full of my special treats! I noticed last week that my big bucket was MIA (missing in action) here at the Hotel Thompson.  That Easter Bunny is sneaky.  He must have come in last week and took my bucket to fill up with all of these goodies.

Look in that bucket –

  • Animal crackers – yes the convenient size – snort.
  • Yellow squash and eggplant.   I love it chopped up and raw.
  • Carrots – look at the size of those master pieces!
  • Oranges and apples.
  • And my training raisins were in the bottom of the bucket.  I only get raisins when mom is teaching me new tricks.  I guess she’s up to training again.

YUMMY – this pig struck the gold mine!   I think personally the Easter Bunny likes me the best, don’t you?  But I won’t tell anyone if you don’t.

And we can’t forget about  rock clan. The Easter Bunny brought the rock clan what else but Rock Candy!

Everyone is having a blast on this special day.  I hope you and yours also have a spectacular Easter my friends!

Ha! Daddy and Hemi Sleepy Time

This is Hemi and Daddy spending some quality time last night after dinner.  Daddy says this is what happens when dinner is really good – you pass out.  I can relate.  I’ve had dinners like that where mom has went way beyond out of the way.

Dad started playing his Angry Bird game on the Ipad.  Of course, Hemi was supervising and helping to ‘swat’ thoste pesky little squawkers.   So there you go dad to Shoko and Kali of CanadianCats.  That’s the secret to dad’s beating you at times on Angry Birds.  Hemi helps with his huge paws – snorts with piggy laughter.

The next thing you knew, dads head as well as Hemi’s started slowly going down.

I just happen to have mom’s camera phone since she was washing the dishes.  Snort – they talk about me snoring – LOL

Oh and PS to Shoko and Kali’s dad – my dad says tag your it.  You may have to bring in Little Jimmy to help you out this time – evil snorts and laughs from daddy

Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER

HOGS AND KISSES – it’s a wonderful and joyous day!

I love Easter.  I love everything about it.  I love the fun.  I love the excitement.  I love the actual meaning of Easter.  I love it all!

Mom makes is so special for all of us.  She fixes us all baskets just for us – squeals!  She leaves them out the night before and we each get to come into the room to find our basket.

The purr things got their usual of cat treats, a bag of Iams – their favorite and a couple of play mice.  They were happy – more so for the basket then what was in it – snorts.  Silly purr things.  They are so weird playing with their basket before finding their stuff inside.  Shakes piggy head.

Houdini got a little basket full of dog treats – he loves them – and some little toys shaped like Angry Birds.  Snorts – I think dad is going to confiscate them.  Houdini tries to help daddy play his game and loves the swooshing sound of the birds.

The rock clan – we can’t forget them now can we – they got a basket with Rock Candy 🙂  Benedict, Manny, Virginia, Princess Coralena, Rockelle, Bashful and some others 🙂 you haven’t heard about … yet.  Coming soon don’t worry my friends.  Mom’s hands are just a tad bit full right now.  Don’t give up on her.

And Dad loves his Angry Birds games so this year mom had him a cake made with Angry Birds on it – sweet!  It is fabulous and gorgeous!  I would share a pic but once mom sliced it, it looked like that red bird bled out – snorts.

And me?  You asked what did the Easter Bunny bring me?  ALL kinds of goodies.

Cat Toys and Silly Daddy

The purr things here at the Hotel Thompson have the coolest toys.  They have this tube looking thing that they like to hide and play in all day long.  Usually, Mouse Girl claims it and doesn’t let Hemi near it.  But yesterday, I caught pictures of Hemi playing with it.  It keeps them busy for hours.  I wonder if they make a bigger one for humans to play with to keep them busy for hours?  Hey, it’s a thought.

Then again, maybe they don’t need to make a bigger one.  I think my human daddy has found a new way to play with the purr things toy.  Hey, it did keep him busy for about an hour.  I took a snap shot for you.  Silly daddy.  Toys are for kids.

Dear Bacon – Special Edition

Tis the season to be merry my friends!  Today, we have a very special issue of Dear Bacon.  I bet a lot of you know my special friend.  He’s been hanging (literally) around my house since Thanksgiving.  For those that don’t know him, I’ll tell you a little back ground.

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition came out in 2005 in a children’s book.  The little Elf that comes with the book has a job between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.  His main job is to watch over the household and report back to the North Pole nightly on if the people are naughty or nice.  He comes back to the household by morning.  There’s one important thing about the Elf.  You don’t touch him as doing so will erase any Christmas magic that has been blessed upon him.  Every morning that he comes back from the North Pole, people in the household find him in different places.  But remember, it’s all magic!

So in honor of Christmas, we have the Thompson Elf – Don Juan – representing in the Dear Bacon issue.  We hope you enjoy.  XOXO – Bacon

Dear Don Juan,

You’re a fellow Elf.  You know times are hard working for the fat guy.  We work once a year.  It’s hard to make a living like this.  Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do, right?  Signed Elf Burglar

Dear Elf Burglar,

Step.away.from.the.pig.  Don’t make me call the Elf Union.  Elves do not steal in the houses that we are to watch over.  Your special Christmas powers can be revoked with a snap of a finger.  You know there are other jobs you can work while in the off season.  I’ve heard Walmart is looking for door greeters.  Or perhaps you can join a traveling circus during down times.  Anything but stealing my fellow Elf.

.

Dear Don Juan,

Last night, the humans they stayed up until the whee hours of the morning making cookies.  I just thought I would make my mark.  You like?  Signed Droopy

Dear Droopy,

I like and I approve.  This is what I’m talking about.  Good little elves help out around the house not steal.  Way to go my friend!

.

Dear Don Juan,

I’ve read on Bacon’s blog that his human father likes to play Angry Birds.  Well, I thought I would share this photo for you to take notes on future escapades.  Enjoy my friend.  Signed Angry Elf

Dear Angry Elf,

That’s what I’m talking about!  Thanks for the idea.  I definitely will pursue this one tonight.. perhaps 🙂

.

Dear Don Juan,

When you have to go, you gotta go.  The humans, they caught a picture of me in mid dunk.  Thank goodness I was holding on and the humans didn’t see me in action.  Signed Pepper Elf

Dear Pepper Elf,

Hey, you’re right.  It’s nature.  It’s part of life.  At least you’re potty trained.  Tis the season for magic in all forms.

.

.

Dear Don Juan,

What?  We get kind of bored at night staying up all by ourselves.  Sometimes we get back from reporting in at the the North Pole early. We gotta do something in our spare time for just us.  I met this chick named Frankie Stein from Monster High.  Dude, she has some moves!  Signed Pole Elf

Dear Pole Elf,

Oh dear.  This can’t be good.  Where did you get that money?  And dear Lord, you’re sitting on baby food.  There’s a baby in the house.  Step away from the pole and tell Ms. Stein to put on some clothing.  Shakes head.. I may need to investigate this further.  Can you email me Ms. Stein’s telephone number?  You know, for my paperwork.

.

Dear Don Juan,

It’s just a little nick and tuck.  What can I say?  He was on the naughty list.  I had to do something to snap him into reality that this is the Christmas season.  Thoughts?  Signed Barber Elf

Dear Barber Elf,

Are you insane?!  We can’t do that.  That poor fellow is going to be scared for life.  Listen here you young Elf, report back to the North Pole ASAP.  I’ve gotta get this taken care of with the humans.  Where’s is that Easter bunny when you need him?

.

Dear blogville,  I hope you enjoyed this special of Dear Bacon – Elf on the Shelf.  Remember, tonight is the big night.  Make sure you’re extra good and leave out cookies.  I’ve heard Santa likes chocolate chip and macadamia.  Well, that’s what my human daddy tells me.  XOXO – Bacon

Note:  Pictures were sent in by friends of mom who emailed them to me with questions.

Happy Monday My Friends!

Hope everyone had an pigawesome weekend.  There was finally some cooler weather here in Georgia.  Have I told you that I absolutely LOVE me some cooler weather?  I can’t stand the heat from the summer.  Now that it’s Autumn, there’s just a tad bit of coolness out there.  It’s great!  I take after mommy in that aspect.  She loves the cooler weather *almost* as much as me.

So this past weekend, I snuggled a lot.  No news flash there huh?  Snorts.  We watched some football – that I was ready for!  Watching football brings back some fond memories for me.  Daddy has told me stories on how my great, great, great, great, great, great grandpig played in the first games.  He was thrown around a lot but loved his job.  Every since then, my kin folks have played.  Now, I know you probably don’t think so.  You’ll have to think hard on what position my ancestors play.  I don’t care to get that involved in the game.  I’ll just watch from the safety of my couch beside mommy where I’m safe if you know what I mean.

I helped mommy around the house.  Daddy kept singing Mary had a little lamb to us.  I’m not sure why?  But mommy, she would laugh about it so that made me happy.

I tried helping daddy play his Angry Bird game.  I don’t think he appreciated my help in touching the iPad screen with my hooves.  I don’t know if he was worried that I would beat his score or what – snorts.

I even played with the purr things here this weekend.  I was nice … especially since they threw me a surprise birthday party last week.  I let that Hemi crawl all over me.  He even rode my back one time when we were playing chase.  I wish mommy could have gotten a picture of it but that purr rascal is FAST.  He boomeranged off me like I was a balloon animal.

Other than that, we chilled and enjoyed the weather.  You?

Oh, I thought I would throw this funny out to all of my friends on this Monday.  I know mommy enjoyed this picture.  She said it was SO TRUE.  I feel you mommy – can’t wait for you to get back home tonight!

Everyone have a happy Monday!

Possible T-Shirts for this Oinker

Mom and dad went shopping this morning. They are trying to decide which shirts to buy me to wear around the house. Rolls piggy eyes – do I look like a dress up piggy? Okay – don’t answer that. Mom says it would be a hoot and she has her favorite and of course dad has his favorite.

So, what’s a family to do? Leave it in your hands of course. They want my friends to decide. Really, you can say neither – snorts.

So, which is your favorite? I don’t think I have to tell you which one dad likes the most. Thanks my friends… I think.

Something Pig is Coming – PLOL

Daddy is going to be so excited. This is too funny. I had to share. Daddy is such a HUGE Angry Bird enthusiast. I found this on Youtube and laughed my little pig tail furiously. It was so funny!  Even Bashful has gotten to the point that he hums that Angry Bird music constantly.  He rolls up and down the halls singing.  Sometimes the purr things here at the Hotel Thompson toss him at me trying to knock this pig down thinking they are playing Angry Piggies – Snort – PLOL (Pig Laughing out Loud).

I just love these piggies.  Don’t you??
