This is me over the weekend. Yep believe it or not I’m digging the backyard at times. There’s all kinds of adventures to be held out there. I look at this picture and it screams to me that I’m too skinny. Really! Look at those ribs. I think I need to ‘fatten’ up a bit. Dad agrees but I think for an entirely different reason if you know what I mean – shivers to mergatroid.
Mom says I’m just fine and that she has to watch my weight because a heavy piggy is a sick piggy. I hear her. I really do. But when she starts talking diet stuff all I hear is blah, blah, blah. I mean, what’s a couple of more bananas and another cut of animal crackers a day. Piggy starving here…. snorts with piggy laughter.

aaww beautiful. You are so good to me. Mom watches my diet per the V.E.T.’s instruction. Yeah I had to spell that word out. They are evil at that place, right? He says if I get overweight, I can have problems with my vision. So, the constant watchful eye of mom. Sigh. I wonder if I can wiggle some treats out of dad. Off to try. XOXO – Bacon

I feel your pain, Bacon. My old dog Bailey isn’t heavy either, but he’s on his last legs – the back ones anyway. The vet said to take some weight off to help. He can’t walk it off anymore, so treats have been cut in half. He doesn’t eat much prescription food. Can’t blame him. He gives me the look “that’s it?” Kills me.

Oh my gosh. I know that look from Bailey. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn’t. There’s lot of things mom has to watch with me. If I get overweight, my eyelashes can go inward giving me a pudgy face and messing with my already challenged vision. I know she’s right. But really…. must go and see if I can sneak something from dad now. XOXO – Bacon

Stay out of the kitchen, especially when the frying pan or the BBQ sauce is being handled.
BTW, the addition of Kindred Spirits was a pleasant surprise on DF Fridays. Amy is easy on the eyes compared to Josh Gates. I think he would agree too, lol. 🙂
