Travels in Chicago

13 Jun

Do you remember last week when mom/dad talked about the bacon pancakes they got at a restaurant in Chicago called Richard Walkers Pancake House“?  This meal was at the same restaurant.  Amazing huh?  Steak, eggs and hashbrowns.  Daddy was in heaven…. and so was mommy too.  Of course she had a couple of bites here/there in between bacon pancakes.  So what do you think?  Breakfast of Champions?

There *might* be a way. But I’m thinking good ole hashbrowns in an iron skillet with a little butter or excuse me Bacon – bacon fat – might be just a tad bit better for sure ❤ Now I'm hungry – XOXO – Bacon's MOM

When I was little, my mother made waffles with chopped up bacon sprinkled in the batter. Lovely! I’d pre-cook the bacon first now since I like my bacon crisper than the waffle maker (back then) made it.

Oh most definitely. Those bacon pancakes were out of this world! AND they make bacon waffles too. I might need to try them the next time I visit Chicago. Oh yummy!! XOXO – Bacon’s MOM
