Journal to Healthier Living – Week 19

Welcome my friends.  I’m tweaking my weekly journey with my healthier living.  It’s a step in the right direction for sure.  I hope you come along for the ride.  Instead of day-to-day comments, I’m going to post something from my personal journal to share.  Hope you enjoy.  Remember all of us go down this path and we are all in it together ❤


Week of 05/13-05/19/2018 – Week 19

“Dear Journal – I think one of the biggest things about losing weight/eating healthier is getting your mindset in the right direction.  If your mind is not there, it’s not going to happen regardless of how many times you attempt.  Another for me is setting goals.  If I have the mindset and a mini goal to get to, it’s a done thing.  It’s the way I’m made just like others I’m sure.  In saying that, I’m re-adjusting my life, getting things in line and hitting my plan effective June 1.  Why am I putting it off until June 1?  Why not start today?  Well, we have vacation plans this week/next.  I’m going to enjoy myself and then hit it hard with monthly goals.  That is the plan.  So my walking pace will be back in June – come hell or high water.”

    Measurable goals help. Having something to track (not weight) is very important in habit change.

      That’s what I was thinking too. It’s going to happen. The hardest thing is get your mind wrapped around it.

    a lot of eggs-perts say to put it off is a bad thing, butt I think if we ruin holidays with starving while all others meander around with ice cream and cotton candy and whatnot we make our plan to a pesky duty… and we do it only because we have to and not because we want… and that’s a huge difference… enjoy the howliday and reward yourself ;O)

    The plan starting on June 1 is obvious … it’s National Donut Day. Easier to say “NO” to chocolate covered donuts, powdered sugar donuts, regular cake donuts, glazed donuts, donuts with sprinkles, custard filled donuts, jelly filled donuts …

    More importantly, it’s the start of DF Fridays.
