May 4th finally got here! Today is Star Wars Day. I know these day brings out the geek in ALL of us. Bacon’s dad is so excited – like it was Christmas! Stars Wars Day is always on May 4th. Why do you ask? Because of the ever famous play on words, “May the Force (Fourth) by with you!”
Today is a day to channel your inner self – watch any of the Star Wars movies – heck why not have a marathon? That’s probably what Bacon’s parents are going to do here at the Hotel Thompson. Who is your favorite character? Favorite line? Why not dress up like your favorite character while having your marathon movie night? Learn some Star Wars trivia to play tonight. Did you know that Luke Skywalker’s original name for the movie was Luke Starkiller?
Did you know that David Prowse from Bristol play the role on screen of Darth Vader and his Vader’s voice was done by James Earl Jones. The kicker was that Jones was so convinced the film was going to flop, he refused to allow his name in the original credits.
Did you know that Chewbacca was modeled after George Lucas’ dog, Indiana?
Did you know that Mel Blanc auditioned for the voice of C-3PO

This was so interesting. I knew James Earl Jones was the voice of Darth Vader cause this is the only fact about Star Wars she knew.
