We’ve all heard about the Windy City referring to Chicago weather. I bet even you thought it referred to the weather. But you know what?
It doesn’t have anything to do with the weather at all.
Chicago’s nickname was coined by 19th century journalists who were referring to the fact that its residents were ‘windbags’ and ‘full of hot air’.
Shocker huh?

I grew up near Chicago and I think that was still true but mostly about its politicians.

Chicago journalists were windbags? No way. It’s definitely from the wind off Lake Michigan. They don’t call it the “Hawk” for nothing in the winter! 💨

Not surprising … lol. 😉
Here’s the real surprise – Sunday nights have become Dead Files night. Last night was the first night. The new episodes will air at 8ET/7 Central, followed by six repeat episodes. Found this out while flipping through the channels after getting back from the equestrian center.
Steve and Amy said it was a last minute decision by the Travel Channel, done so quickly they hadn’t cut any promos for the programming change. The originally planned to return in May to air the remaining six new episodes. Steve said it’s important for DF followers to watch; Travel Channel knows DF has a strong, loyal following. He said to spread the word among fellow DF followers … so the word is spread. It’s back to Travel Channel’s old schedule when Friday nights were GA nights and Saturday nights were DF nights. Now, it’s paranormal weekend. 🙂
