Spotlight Thursday – Meet Tsunami

Spotlight Thursday

Welcome my friends to SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY.  This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better.  Some of them, you may already know.  We hope that you enjoy this series!

Name:  Tsunami (nickname, “Nami”)

Age:  13  years

Location:  Colorado

Web/Blog Page:  https://peacewithmylife.com/

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents?  I’m not sure I understood their relevance. I’m an independent girl and was just pleased to see the food keep coming.

What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home?  When my parents understood that I didn’t want to be picked up, I knew that I could make this home work. When I want to be adored, I’ll come to them and request petting. Otherwise, keep your hands off; I just have to be in control

What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home? (*tail whips, rapidly*) I’m the perfect guest. I never hurk something up in the humans’ bed or shoes. I always use the litter box. I’ve done nothing inappropriate. Well, there was the one time I went camping with the humans, and I got out of the camper and took a walk in the woods. They chased after me, but I was always able to stay a few steps ahead. Mom was not amused, muttering things like “bear bait” and “going feral.” I finally let her catch me, but (*mad ears*) they don’t let me go camping with them anymore.

Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? I go to mom for pets more often than I go to dad. But I’m not sure either of them is sufficiently wrapped around my paw the way that I would like.

What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you?  They think that I’m an ordinary cat. As if! I’m involved with special, under-cover work while they think I’m sleeping, but of course, I’ll never tell what THAT’s about.

Hope you enjoyed meeting my friend – check back next week for another Spotlight edition!

Right you are – the first rule of cat club is you do not talk about cat club.

Wow, T. You do sound like an independent agent. I like to be picked up because how else would I get past things I’m afraid of??? I need Mom to carry me! I wish I had a fraction of your courage…

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Those scary-cat humans just don’t know how clever and capable I am. They are so sissy that when they camp, they take a camper, claiming it’s safer against the many bears in the area. Who’s afraid of a few bears? I’m so agile and tough that no bear could catch me; I don’t need no stinking camper!

Reblogged this on Peace With My Life and commented:
My cat Tsunami, who we call “Nami,” was featured on our friend’s blog, PigLove. She is a quiet cat who doesn’t get as much air play as our other pets, so I was happy to see her get a write-up of her own. Check out Bacon Thompson’s blog, which can be a real hoot! And thanks, Bacon, for giving Nami a little write-up.

You must be Hazel’s sibling. She makes her own adventures. One day she pushed the screen and jumped out the second floor window. She made the humans crazy. Still does in any way she can.

All cats are related in some way, the way all the royalty seem to be related. Right? Because we are all superior to the humans. If we can make you crazy, our mission is accomplished!

Ha! It came to one of the humans in a dream. And since I am a force of nature, it suited me just fine.

No camping? I know some pets around here who would be thrilled with that situation.

Yeah, well, the parrots don’t want to go camping but the dogs think it’s great!
Nami too, in a scary way.

Nice to meet you Nami. Nami is a perfect name for you, here in faraway Finland children, when they want a candy, say they want nami. And you are like a beautiful candy, your fur is so special.

Wow! Candy with claws – that’s me! I love it. Once a neighbor boy tried to steal me because he wanted a spotted cat; it has been a great incentive to stay close to home. I’m glad you like my coat!

Of course we are alike. We are not like those doting dogs; we are our own persons. How could they expect me to go to the wild forest and not taste it? How could they expect me to not want to taunt fate? Silly humans!
