Welcome my friends to another week of Travels in the South. My dad says that sometimes you just need a good hamburger, something solid and substantial. This week he wanted just that – an awesome hamburger. You’ve heard us talk about the great pizza that a restaurant called Mellow Mushroom has but did you know they have build your own burgers? Daddy saw it on the menu and just had to try it… of course while mom had a wonderfully delicious salad – poor mom.
The burger is 100% black angus beef topped with dad’s favorites: pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar and swiss cheeses and bacon – gulps. Dad said it was a handful and was so delicious. Of course, it did take two hands to eat and plenty of napkins. I guess that’s a good sign to a great juicy burger, huh?
So if you have a Mellow Mushroom close by, check them out for their burgers. They also have vegan burgers which mom says sound delicious.

We have Mellow Mushrooms in our neck of the woods and have been happily nomming there for several years now. Good stuff!

OMP! Mom/dad love that retro place full of mushroom peeps. They head there whenever they want to hang out and chillax. In fact, when they were there this time there were so many teenagers. I guess everyone was having that one last time out before school started. Mom said it was like the Chucky Cheese for teenagers that day. It was hilarious! XOXO – Bacon

That hamburger looks super yummy! Alas, Tallulah and I have never had a hamburger. Poor us. We truly are so very deprived. 😉 P.S. I’m sure your mom’s salad was good, too. Just in a different way.

I think you may be right beautiful. Mom said she made yummy sounds eating her greens. I don’t think dad believed her though while he was eating this delicious burger. Bad daddy, huh? Snorts and rolls with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
