Today, January 14th, is a special day. It is Dress Up Your Pet Day. Today gives you the right to dress up your pet whether they are a dog, cat, pig, squirrel, lizard or a goldfish. Okay maybe not a goldfish. What would he wear? A swimsuit? chitter-chatter
And by all means, you need to post these pictures of your pets all dressed up. I put a couple of my favorites on the bottom of this post. One of my favorite pictures of the pig is Sir Bacon. Yep, you read it correctly. His little shirt says, “I didn’t do it.” I think for the first 6 months of his life, he probably did think that was his name – HA! This pictures has to be one of my all time favorites of the little oinker.
But never fear – we also have Houdini. His mom is forever dressing him up and I do believe the little guy likes it. Do you know he dresses when he goes out. Once home, he actually holds his arms up so his mom can get his clothes off. Too funny and of course this is one of his dad’s favorite pictures of him.

Not crazy about clothes myself, so I’m not letting Mom see this one. I already have my own coat that I was born with, thank you very much! It even gets thicker in the winter.
Still, Mom makes me wear coats or sweaters for some of our really cold or wet walks, but not much more often (except for the time our heat was broken – then I only got to be free of some kind of clothes-thing when we went to bed and I could snuggle close to her to stay warm).
One of my really-really warm coats has a hood that covers my eyes, so she has to fold it back before I will take even one step – so what’s the point of having it at all? I do get more attention from my fans at my Cheers bar when I have on clothes – but they can’t pet ME, just the darned clothes, so what’s the point of that either?
I’m glad you guys like to be dressed up, but we really don’t have that in common.

I myself really don’t care for it. I leave that to the little guy here. Houdini loves it and picks his clothes out everyday. I’m like you – I have a raincoat but I don’t like it either. XOXO Bacon

WOW, Bacon! I haven’t — and I can’t think of anything more fun (especially since it’s been raining for 4 solid days here and Mom won’t let me go out in the yard to play frisbee).
If I can put parts of it on Mom’s blog too, it would save me a lot of work while I rack up another guest post! It would give me a great chance to announce your status as an honorary dog, too – the world’s very first dog who is a real-live pig!!

Mom is so strict about following her format and including those darned things -sometimes I spend more time on links and formatting than I do on the articles!
What do I need to do? (please don’t tell me I have to go to the groomers so I look handsome for a photo)

Cool! I’ve looked at some of the questions you asked the others, so if you haven’t changed anything, I’ve already started answering a few questions. Mom calls it rehearsing (she used to be an actress in New York, so she knows about interviews).
