Our hearts are so broken here at the Hotel Thompson this morning. We woke up to hear about the passing of our beloved brother Easy. Please friends, join us in lighting a candle and sending massive hogs and snout kisses to Easy’s parents during this time. Our hearts go out to them ❤

It breaks my heart to read this – I have known this heartbreak many times in the past 35 years. We love them while they are here with us, and we meet them again on Rainbow Bridge so that we can all walk across together. My sympathies to everyone at the Hotel.

It’s always way too soon. I had Tabitha, my last little girl Shih Tzu for 19 years – and when it was finally time it broke my heart anyway. I tell myself that it’s the high price we must be willing to pay to get to live with them and feel their love for whatever time we are granted with them. Thinking that does not help, however. It will NEVER be easy to lose a beloved.

You are so right in that. We get to live with them in their world. That’s how it feels to us as well with our babies. We loss Mouse Girl this year and it broke us. We are so grateful for our time with her and pray that her years with us was happy ones (she adopted us at the shelter and didn’t have a great life the first part of her life). XOXO – Bacon’s MOM

Don’t you wish you were a gazillionaire and could rescue them ALL? (and that cruelty to animals laws were *much* stiffer).
Personally, I’d like to do to them exactly what they did to the innocents – for exactly the same *percentage* of their lives – leaving them praying that someone finds them and heals them before it is too late.
THEN I’d put them in cages in a room full of cages, praying that someone might come along to take them home and treat them well. I’d put it all on YouTube with a warning: Harm an animal and this could be YOU!

Me too. The ones we care for and love won the anipal lottery!
Kids and anipals belong to ALL of us – and what happens to *any* of them matters. I feel guilty any time it’s too nasty outside when my puppy wants to play frisbee, for Pete sakes – or when we’re walking and I have too much work waiting for me to allow him to drag me into his Cheers bar to greet his fans.
I look into little Tink’s trusting eyes and I can’t imagine how ANYONE could ever be inspired to cause pain. It’s evil and needs to be punished as such.

The tears have not stopped flowing this morning. I am stunned and heartbroken at the news. Easy, Katty, and Mark left such a mark on all of us. Their generous spirit of love and friendship were in each an every post they shared about their sweet boy. RIP Easy Rider, make loads of snowfetti on the Rainbow Bridge while rain on earth comes from our tears. You may be gone but you certainly will not be forgotten in our hearts or souls. 😢
