Collect Rocks Day

Journalist Rocky the Squirrel here –

Keeping my paws on the nuts of the world!

 .

Today, September 16th, is Collect Rocks Day!  This day is right up Bacon’s alley.  You know because Bacon collects rocks.  Not just any rocks but pet rocks.

Collect Rocks Day is a day to enjoy your pet rocks.  Pet rocks are not just stones that sit there all day.  They are individuals.  They are pets.  They have wonderful attitudes. And might I add – they are PROS at Hide and Go Seek.  One time, Bashful hid in the fish tank and it took us almost three days to find him – that was fun!  So you see, they also have a sense of humor.

It doesn’t matter what they look like.  It doesn’t matter what economical background they come from.  All that matters is the love and fun that is had with your rocks.  Sounds like humans should take note of this huh?

So from all of the rock clan here at the Hotel Thompson – Happy Collect Rocks Day!

Oh and P.S.  Don’t let Bacon’s mom fool you.  She has a rock fetish too.  She wants to collect her very own rock – as in this picture of Rock – chitter chatter – isn’t she funny!?

Paw Time with Houdini

Let’s talk food my friends – barks!  Who doesn’t like food, right?  Well last week mom started something new here at the Hotel Thompson.  Something amazing that all of us anipals and daddy including are enjoying.  What you ask?  She is cooking more!  Can you do a little happy dance?

One night this week, mom fixed homemade Chinese food – it included stir fry rice, noodles, snow peas, carrots and little pieces of steak.  Can you say delicious?  And of course this little puppy wanted a taste – who wouldn’t?

So I begged asked mom for a taste.  After pitiful staring she enjoyed some, she shared with me.  And of course not just by putting some in a bowl.  No, of course not.  She fed me with chopsticks.  Daddy said I was spoiled like that.  All I know is that mom clicked those magical sticks and I opened my mouth in anticipation of what was to come.  And wonderful food it was!

So my friends.  Have you had Chinese food?  Barks with puppy laughter.  Have an awesome week dear friends!
