Do you remember the commercial for Tootsie Roll Pops back in the day. You know the one with, “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop?” And then the owl licks and counts, “One, Two, and then crunch – three.” Snorts with piggy laughter. That commercial kills me. I wasn’t born when it originally came out but the other night here at the Hotel Thompson we were watching old commercials. It was great – some of them were hilarious.
But it got me, mom and dad talking. What were some of your favorite flavors of the Tootsie Roll Pop? But better yet, what flavor would you have loved to have had for a Tootsie Roll Pop? Mom and dad came up with: Pineapple, butter pecan and coconut. What do you think about those flavors?

I was always a cherry flavor Tootsie Pop girl. Always. Never liked any of the others and only reluctantly would accept the brown one if that was all there was. But cherry was my absolute favorite. Dum-Dums had a better selection of flavors (including pineapple) and they fit into little hands better. 🙂

bacon…dood…..de food servizz gurl waz knot much in favor oh them…but her loved loved LOVED regal crown sour cherry candies….they stopped makin em fora long time but they iz bak again; tho reviewz say …knot de original recipe ~~~~ ….heerz another one that agez her ☺ bubs daddy

Mom didn’t know there were flavoured tootsie rolls….she only had chocolate. If I had a choice on flavour…that’s easy….chicken and cheese flavour. MOL Mom is turning green at the thought. She would have liked to taste poutine flavour.
