Okay my friends. Let’s discuss weird food combinations. What foods do you mix together that *you* think is so good but somebody else would say eeeww nasty?
I’ll start – snorts with piggy laughter. When mom/dad go to the movies, which is infrequent but does happen, mom has to have popcorn while dad is a huge nacho fan. Dad will dip his nacho in his cheese and then put the cheesy nacho in mom’s popcorn to pick up some popcorn before eating it. Can you see his nacho in mom’s popcorn. Disgusting huh? I haven’t seen such a disgrace since peanut butter bumped into chocolate.. oh wait a minute. I do like that combination.
Then there’s mom who when she fixes tuna for sandwiches, cuts up green olives with the pimentos and throws it into the mix.
Another thing that mom does – when she fixes a peanut butter sandwich, she crumbles up plain potato chips and puts inside of the sandwich. Yep, inside of the sandwich. Shakes piggy head. Unbelievable huh?
So what do your humans fix that seems weird. Please share. My humans can’t be the only strange ones.

For several years, cooking to Mama meant mixing two cans of soup together and heating that mess up. Our fridge has plenty of yoghurt, fruit and water. Get the picture?

A friend of mine used to spread nutella on Brie-cheese.
From somebody else I heard the combination of normal cheese (like Gouda) with added jam on top …
But the worst I ever heard is a story of a friend of mine, who worked in an army officer’s mess. One time he fed of the cold buffet – and put everything around his plate – first the fish, then whatever followed – and in the end, just next to the fish – the chocolate dessert. His colleague nearly vomited.

Yikes…you’re right, those are VERY strange combos. I kind of like cheddar dipped in Nutella. But not sure it qualifies as strange since EVERYTHING is better when t’s dipped in Nutella! 😉

I used to know someone who put mayo on his grilled cheese sandwich. Even I wouldn’t eat that. And Mom said her favorite meal is steak with spaghetti on the side. Not so weird, but everyone here in the Southern US of A thinks it odd (until they try it).

I generally don’t like eating any kinds of foods together (Even hamburgers I prefer in non-sandwich form)… but I do get some strange looks when I tell people I’ll pour a Pepsi into a fountain Coke to refill it. The two colas taste pretty much the same to me…
