Journey with Friends

11 Jul

Welcome my friends to our weekly issue of Journey with Friends.  This is a time that we come together for support, for encouragement, for fellowship – all with one single goal in mind – to live better.  Welcome to our journey to share our goals and our accomplishments and our disappointments and frustrations.

Together we can do this!

How are you my friends?  Did you have great results last week?  Here, not so much.  I have not gained but I have not pushed it like I should.  I had a hard time getting back into the swing of things from coming off my birthday.  But that’s okay.  I’m better today and this week will be great.  Last week I did walk 15,612 steps which equates to 7.39 miles.  I’m good with that.  In a month, I’ve walked a little over 40 miles.  When you look at it like that, it’s awesome!  So although the scales aren’t playing nice, I still feel like I’m doing something which is a great feeling.  So my friends, here’s to another week.  We can do this!!

Miles Walked Since 06/13/2016: 40.80 miles

yes… I sleep with the return note under my pillow… I have bad dreams but as long as it helps to keep my fingers out of the cookie jar I’m fine with nightmares :o)

LOL – I stay inside at work and walk the length the entire of the building several times during the day. That helps so much – you wouldn’t think but adds up beautifully 🙂 June

Good work Auntie June! Mama sez you feel like kaka cause you have a summer cold…bummer to the max! Remember, it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon so slow and steady does just the trick. Mama gave up a food group last week, but the scales don’t reflect that either, so there you have it. Don’t weigh everyday, or if you must, weigh first thing in the AM. XXXXX Your fan Skyler

Good for you! I added calories to my daily requirement because on hikes and such, I needed more energy. Then I gained weight! So today, I put the calories back to the original number, and tweaked my goal. It isn’t as daunting to break what I’d like to lose into smaller increments. Then maybe I can actually celebrate! Here’s to another week! Today I hooped, weights for upper body, and 30 minutes of aerobics. I’m determined now!
