Welcome my friends to our weekly issue of Journey with Friends.  This is a time that we come together for support, for encouragement, for fellowship – all with one single goal in mind – to live better.  Welcome to our journey to share our goals and our accomplishments and our disappointments and frustrations.

Together we can do this!


How are you my friends?  I have to admit that I did walk 13,879 steps last week which equates to 6.57 miles.  Not bad but I could have done much better.  As far as the rating, well it was my birthday – LOL.  That says a lot huh?  I started good but there the Keylime Cake that confronted me.  And we all know I had to defend myself.  But today, we are back onward bound far away from the cake…at least for another year.

❤️ And let me add a little something.  Thank YOU all of my friends for the wonderful birthday wishes.  They really meant so much to me.  Much love! ❤️

    Mmmm cake . . . . I finally found an ice cream without soy (I have developed a soy allergy) and have been indulging a little too much. However, I got a FitBit and have reached my step goal every day!

      Way to go!! On the Fitbit not the ice cream – LOL. Ice cream is fine within limitations. I can’t find my limitations when ice cream is in the house. Thankfully all of the ‘birthday’ treats are gone now. This week, it’s back to the grind of getting back on schedule. – June

    how great to celebrate with a cake before the hard die-t days are back :o) my snacks are cucumbers and carrots now … and I leave the room when Mark starts to kill a whole bucket with ice cream… :o)

        I hear ya… I bought strawberry water today (an act of sheer desperation)… it has zero calories &the taste is so darned awful….but it fits to the nekked cucumber slices, they are awful too :o(

        Amen – I *know* how you feel. I’m trying to drink more water today. It’s hard getting back into the swing of things for sure. But you know – we can do this! -June

    Key lime……yummmm….glad you gave yourself a break on the D word for your birthday! And every step counts my friend! I sadly have been non dieting..ugh..winter hard work outside..conspire to make a ravenous appetite! But in 3 days of just lygging lifting dragging cutting and burning off i have managed a whopping 29000 steps! Funny i burnt hardly any cals according to my app..clearly it thinks i am strolling along..bwaha..love you to bits…Bev xxxx

      You are working way hard in that yard my friend! The aerobic workout you are getting from all of the lifting and pulling, you gotta eat to keep up with that. Wish you were here to partake in the keylime cake. It was simply delicious. But now, back to the grind. I gotta get busy and moving! – June
