Today my friends we conclude our visit with our great friends Bill and Jean. We had an absolute BALL with our friends and today we are showing time spent in Savannah and at Tybee Island, Georgia. I can’t begin to tell you how much fun we had playing and getting into trouble together.

This is a great picture of Jean standing outside of our hotel rooms. We were far enough up that we could enjoy the hustle below and right across the street from awesome restaurants and businesses. And if you look in the distant, there is the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. All of this within walking distance from our hotel room which was totally nice.
Yet, we were far enough away that you didn’t hear any of the noises at night coming from the bars. It was really the best spot to be at night when we came back to our rooms from being out all day getting into trouble having fun.
And no trip to Tybee Island, Georgia can be complete without visiting the Tybee Island lighthouse. Look how beautiful that lighthouse is – do you want to guess how many steps it is to get to the observation point at the very top? Would you believe 178 steps and no trust me no of us took this adventure. Me and my hub Jim did this walk up one time and that’s all we needed – LOL – neither one of us could walk that night. I think it’s safe to say that we now know our limitations.
On this day we decided to take a trip to downtown Savannah. And let’s just say that there is no telling who you might run into in the city. Take for instance when we drove past the restaurant called the Pirate House. Who do you think we saw. Of course a pirate. Who were you thinking? LOL.
This pirate was really friendly though. We were on a tour bus and he jumped on the tour bus spilling his pirate talk. He was really quite comical which I’m sure he wasn’t really shooting for… I think. So you see, you just never know who you will run into in Savannah.
♥
And again, you never know who one will start chatting up as in this case with Jean. Again, what an awesome trip with some of the greatest friends. We hope that you have enjoyed our Travels in the South with Bill and Jean. Be on the lookout for the next series of Travels in the South with Bev and Phil from Australia!

A total blast Bacon. We will return to bug your mom and dad and make them run all over town. The Lavender bath scrub I got from Tybee Island is fantastic….I’ll need more soon so I must come back.
