Welcome my friends to our weekly issue of Journey with Friends. This is a time that we come together for support, for encouragement, for fellowship – all with one single goal in mind – to live better. Welcome to our journey to share our goals and our accomplishments and our disappointments and frustrations.
Together we can do this!
Hello my friends! Another week behind us and another week before us. Last week, I have to admit that I really didn’t watch very carefully what I was eating. These weather changes here (storms, rain, clouds and then hot the next day) has my arthritis really acting up. Some days, my hips were inflamed and on fire hurting so badly. Other days it was my back. Hopefully the weather changes will settle and my body will get accustomed to the weather.
I’ve also been working on the surprise we have coming at the end of May. Nope – my lips are sealed and I will not reveal what it is. But, there has been planning to do and things to purchase to get ready for it. And I will tell you hopefully beach time will be involved so therefore swimsuits have been looked at on-line. Have you looked for swimsuits lately? WOW! What a difference they have turned in the different sizes. But, I think I found one that I like that is similar to the 60’s pin-up style – very cute I think. We shall see if it maintains that cuteness once we get it here at the Hotel Thompson – LOL.
So how was YOUR week my friends? Anything exciting going on in your part of the world?

not any itsy bitsy tiny hint? I currently can’t imagine to look for swimsuits… more for sweaters and cardigans… but hey they are cheap this time lol. Fortunately the flu is on the way to nirvana, we just have to deal with the after effects of the meds…. the dogtor said that will need some MONTHS!… nice, then I’m ready for the next flu-outbreak in fall …uuuuh!

I feel you my sweet friend. It took me a little over a month to get completely over the flu. It was the most horrid time I have ever had being sick. And as for a hint – LOL. Nope. You gotta wait but I will tell you this. Come closer to the computer – it’s HUGE – BIG – HUGE!!

Ick, swimsuits! Mama sez she would rather go to the Dentist. But your teaser sounds potentially fun & exciting. Mama learned that she has a wee medical issue, but nothing to go all Drama Queen about…Mama can give good drama…..

I hate swimsuit shopping and am glad to only have to wear one a few days a year:) I am getting better as I age about it all. I hope some day not to care. I continue to work on figuring out what foods make me sick. It is a slow process.

You know I’m with you on the swimsuits. With age, I don’t criticize myself as much. I’ve got history with this body and I plan on strutting on the beach. Go girl power!
And you hang in there with your food. I’m trying to listen to my body more. And the inner me is screaming lately, “Lady eat a salad!” LOL

Don’t go swimming here so no swim suits. Enjoy your week.

LOL. I get in the ocean once or twice a year to splash. I need a new one and can’t wait for this particular one to get here.

I too have had excitement. I have booked a holiday for 4 to Uluru in the Northern Territory which involves Camels and a giant swimming pool in September. I generally wear “bordies” (aussie board shorts) and a “rashy” (UV protective swimming Tshirt) but I think I will also take a look online for something more pretty after reading this. 😀

You go Auntie Sharon!! That sounds like a fabulous holiday. You should buy something special for the trip and strut yourself around with pride! XOXO – Bacon
