Spotlight Thursday – Meet Jack Knight

Spotlight Thursday

Welcome my friends to SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY.  This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better.  Some of them, you may already know.  We hope that you enjoy this new series!

Name:  Jack Knight

Age:  not sure 11 plus

Location:   Australia

Web/Blog Page:  gentlestitches

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents?  Well the nice people from the North Melbourne Lost dogs home gave a lead to my peeps and suggested they take me a walk on the grass around my cage. It was very nice to pee on the grass and sniff around but I had no idea I would soon be joining them as a member of their family. I felt scared on the way home and I threw up in the car but no one got cross with me. When I got to their house, I found they lived near a creek and the little boy wanted me to run along the creek and have adventures with him. I LOVE doing that. There were other critters there too and they seemed very relaxed and friendly towards me. I was got for the little boy, my brother Shane and I LOVE him very much but most of all ,I love my Auntie Sharon. She just panders to my needs 24 hours a day and I would protect and do anything for her. I bring her rats and mice to show my worth!

What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home?  When I saw my room all set up with a doggie bed, water dish, toys and a doggie door to the the garden.

What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home?  Well I don’t like it when they go to work or school and leave me behind so I show them by ripping all their fancy woodwork. They have lined the house with metal which has made it hard for me to destroy it. They are hard to make cross those peeps.

Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why? I have EVERYONE wrapped around my paws. I am just pure awesome.

What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you?  They are all under the delusion I am a small dog but I am HUGE!

Hope you enjoyed meeting my friend Jack – check back next week for another Spotlight edition!

Jack, you are a total stud. Killing rats and mice is important work. Once I ate a butterfly.

Hello Jack, nice to meetcha. As a fellow terrier, I understand about that misconception of people thinking you are a small dog. People are always picking me up. I tried weighing more to put an end to that, but Mom put me on a diet and now I am back down to an easily lift-able 20 pounds. 🙂 I will stop by and say hi on your blog soon.

Jack says ” nice to meet you too Lexi. I dont like getting picked up by people outside my family and some say I get a bit “nippy” if they try, butt I am just saying “no thank you! ” 😀
“pee ess, Aunty Sharon added you to her pinterest “people who have pets that blog” board.
    You are looking good!” ❤

Greetings ‘Big’Jack. You sound like one lucky dog to have such understanding and loving uprights. Rats and mice, huh? Bet that makes for some interesting dinner conversations. Personally I love all dogs but often think smaller ones are wind up toys to chase around. 😉
