Journey with Friends

28 Mar

Welcome my friends to our weekly issue of Journey with Friends.  This is a time that we come together for support, for encouragement, for fellowship – all with one single goal in mind – to live better.  Welcome to our journey to share our goals and our accomplishments and our disappointments and frustrations.

Together we can do this!

Another week of maintaining. I’m good with that. Of course I would like to be down – who wouldn’t, right?  But baby steps win the game in the long run. I hope LOL.

Things have been trying to get back to normal here at the Hotel Thompson. I think we all finally got to say goodbye to the flu last week. Thank goodness for that. We are all tired of being sick – trust me on that. Now we are fighting the pollen levels. This is one of the great things here on the south – not. Pollen in the spring kills us all. We walk around not being able to breathe, watery eyes, sneezing and wheezing. One day last week, the pollen level hit over 3,700!  I didn’t think we would survive the day. Do you fight the pollen in your area?  How are y’all doing my friends?

Happy Monday!

I’m glad the flu is on the way to nirvana :o) I saw it at Madi’s blog how her car was covered with that pollen-stuff. we don’t have that here, we just have a horrible storm what drives us crazy…. we watch downton abbey with ice cream chewing bones and popcorn… think the suzie q. memorial pants will walk the line now LOL

LOL. We should trade places for a week. Wouldn’t that be awesome to experience each other’s lives? Or is this a posting I’m coming up with? Email me. XOXO – Bacon

We don’t open windows and wear surgical masks when out in the yard when we remember. I also started taking colostrum (a natural supplement). It has boosted my immune system so that my allergies are not half as bad as previous years.

Our pollen was bad, luckily we had rain Saturday and Sunday and it washed a lot of it down and away. You just reminded Mama that she needs to change our a/c filters…thanks!

Snorts! We did that Sunday too. We also got some rain yesterday but the pollen was back with a vengeance this morning. Sneeze. XOXO – Bacon

Fighting the flu myself, I feel your pain. I hope the Man doesn’t get it! We do have pollen in our area, but not for a while yet. Everything is still covered in snow. Take care of yourself!

Oh no! The flu found another victim. I’m so sorry my friends. We so feel your pain here. It is a horrid thing to catch. Get plenty of rest and liquids. Be kind to yourself during this time and I pray for a speedy recovery.

I’m still maintaining, too. I haven’t put in the effort needed for exercise, the weather’s iffy, blah. I take Allegra in the spring. It seems to help a lot. Zaditor eye drops are the best!

Yes this pollen makes it so hard to do anything outside. You just can’t breathe through your nose – too funny. Hopefully I will be able to start moving more soon. XOXO – Bacon

No pollen around so far, Bacon, but Spring is on his way and the trees are in bloom, so we are prepared 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤

Be ready my friends it is coming. Here in the south, the pollen count has remained extremely high – somewhere between 2,500-3,700 daily. My mom can’t stand it. Even the Jeep has turned into a pollenmobile. XOXO – Bacon

This piggy would love to snort with you :)
