What? Really? No Way!

For Bashful’s birthday on Friday, mom/dad took him out to a local restaurant that has really awesome southern food.  He said that he was in desperate need for great food.

I tell you – in some ways that rock eats better than I do here.

In this picture, you can see that he ordered beef tips over rice, macaroni and cheese and sweet potato souffle.  Talk about southern comfort food huh?  Bashful said it was totally delicious and that he even licked his plate clean.  That’s my boy!

When Bashful came home, me and him had a heart to heart about some of his travels and his plans for the future.  That’s when he told me something that I couldn’t believe.  I think I actually fell over because it was totally unbelievable.  He told me a secret that I was shocked – astonished – I couldn’t fathom it to be true.  So I did what any piggy would do.  I ran to my mommy.

Mommy!  Bashful told me X-Y-Z.  Is it true?  My mom got this silly grin on her face and said, “It could be.”  WHAT?  I tell you I cried.  I literally cried like a little baby – look at this picture!

What the piggy heavens?  My friends.  You are so NOT going to believe this secret.  I’m dying to tell you but I can’t.  But Oh My Piggy Heavens.  You will absolutely WET yourself when you find out what it is.  Shaking my piggy head.  It’s like a dream come true.

So until I can tell you, you will just have to sit and simmer and hope that I don’t spontaneous combust from excitement.

Spotlight Thursday – Meet Misaki

Spotlight Thursday

Welcome my friends to SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY.  This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better.  Some of them, you may already know.  We hope that you enjoy this new series!

Name:  Misaki

Age:  4

Location:   Essex, UK

Web/Blog Page:  themisadventuresofmisaki  (Be sure to pop over and say hey – remember to tell Misaki that Bacon and Houdini sent you.)

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents?  I was very curious about my new daddy’s beard, it tasted really nice when I licked it. And I liked the way mummy spoke to me about my new home, and our new life together, especially all the treats she promised me. I couldn’t wait to find out more!

What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home?  When mummy and daddy gave up on trying to get me to sleep downstairs and let me bunk in with them

What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home?   When I ate daddy spelt loaf that he’d been looking forward to! In my defence he left it on the kitchen counter so it was fair game really! But he still wasn’t very impressed.

Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why?  Although I’m a total daddy’s girl, its Mummy who would do anything for me. She’s the one who will get up with me in the middle of the night if I need to go out and will take me for early walkies while daddy is still snoring. She says she can’t resist my adorable face:-)

What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you?  That I’m greedy and spoiled – nothing could be further from the truth!

Hope you enjoyed meeting my friend Misaki – check back next week for another Spotlight edition!
