Thanks and I Got a Snowball!

Oh my friends.  I received a package in the mail the other day.  I love receiving packages.  This one had my name on it but dad made me wait to open it up until mom got home from the worky place.  Spoil sport that he is huh?  Snorts with piggy laughter.  Mom *finally* got home and yes it seemed like YEARS to me with this package teasing me all day.  So mom helped me open and OMP – Squeals with piggy delight.  I was one of many winners on a contest that our friends at Animal Couriers had a couple of weeks ago. They sent me a desk calendar with some awesome pictures of some of the pets that have transported.  Smiling – and trust me there are some beautiful pics in it!  I’m going to let mommy keep this calendar on her desk here at the Hotel Thompson.  That way both of us can see it every day.

Can you believe that my friends?  An entire snowball all to myself.  Okay, maybe not the cold outdoor snowball you might be thinking of but I prefer this snowball and so does my mom – snorts with piggy laughter.

Many, many moons ago mom always dreamed of having a little black piggy that she would name Bacon.  One year, it presented itself to her that her dream could come true.  She found me on a Farm bulletin and she fell in love with me instantaneous… as I did her when I saw her the first day.  I like to think that we were made for each other’s love.  She took me home to the Hotel Thompson and can you believe she had converted one of the bedrooms into a nursery for me.  ❤ – what’s not to love knowing that huh?

The first couple of days were touch and go.  She had never had a live in piggy and I had never had a human.  But we grew with each other and our bond was stronger every day.  That’s when it dawned on me.  I need to write about my treasured life here in the south at the Hotel Thompson.  How many pigs do you know write their own blog and share their experiences in life at large?

So there you go.  That is how piglove got started.  It was an outlet for me to share and meet new friends.  And hey, if I made you laugh so hard that it rained down your leg – then my day is complete 🙂

 

Spotlight Thursday – Meet Easy

Spotlight Thursday

Welcome my friends to our first edition of SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY.  This is the time that I will introduce you to one of my fellow anipals so you can get to know them better.  Some of them, you may already know.  We hope that you enjoy this new series!

What were your first thoughts when you met your new parents?  I have to be honest, right? Well… ok… my first thought was: they look simple, that’s easy going…

What was the defining moment when you knew you were in your forever home?  As I entered my bed… I had to place humans on efurry side to make sure that I will not fall out, but that was the moment I was at home.

What has been your biggest “Oh no, now I’ve done it” moment so far in your home?  As I swallowed the brother of Sponge Bob, the infamous kitchen sponge… fortunately I could remove that guy via emergency exit and the two dogtors could pack up their knives.

Who do you have wrapped around your paws more – mom or dad – and why?   I think both, but in a different way. My dad is my best friend but a rival too. So we always have to duke it out, that I’m the king of this castle and that this mom there is MY mom. And speaking of mom she knows that I’m the boss and therefore we have no hierarchy battles.  I’m her best friend, no if’s no butt’s,  butt that’s exhausting sometimes….

What’s the biggest misconception that humans think about you?  They sometimes overestimate my abilities. Yes. I’m eggs-tremely smart and YES I’m a Weimaraner. And that means I’m the dog with the human brain… so how shall I know things they don’t know? To err is human counts for me too :o)
