Journey with Friends

21 Dec

Oh my friends – the overwhelming support that you have all shown me this past week has been so totally awesome!  I have been blown away by the suggestions, the wonderful comments and the encouragement.  I just know I can do this now.  And did you notice my blog heading, Journey with Friends?  It has been suggested that not only can this be a place for “ME”, it can be a place for others as well that are going down this path of better health.  Some place where we can all meet up once a week for encouragement and strength.  Please feel free to share any of your wisdom – great recipes, motto’s, encouragement, ideas, suggestions and/or your weight loss stories and goals.  Together we can do this!

I’ve read all of your comments and taken your suggestions my friends.  This week and next, I’m trying to float through and be nice to me.  I’m not further stressing myself at a time that is already stressful in itself to handle.  Now after Christmas, it will be time to buckle down and be serious.  And don’t think I’m throwing all caution to the wind.  I’m not.  I’m still being watchful of what I eat and trying to walk more where and when I can.

I’m still doing my plasma donations.  Thursday nights are usually no problems.  This past Thursday night I had another problem besides the pulse of course.  My iron was too low so I couldn’t give.  Sigh – it’s okay though.  I’ve been feeling kind of ‘low’ so I didn’t go Saturday either.  I will try to pick up again this week.

And I’m still waiting for my VIP card that I earned so that I can go to the front of the line when it’s busy – hopefully that will work in keeping my pulse down.  I hope to get it this week – I ordered it 11/30/2015.

How are you doing my friends?  Are you surviving the holidays as well?  Hugs to you!

Tell me about it! I am maintaining and that’s all I can say. Cause we all know, we gotta make room for treats on Christmas day and the day after. I can almost taste that peanut butter pie I made! Drools. ❤ June

Do you take an iron supplement?

I do now 🙂 I think the more I do this, the more comfortable it becomes for me and that is helping my pulse rate. I think the iron being low was a one time thing… I hope so anyway 🙂 ❤ June

Holiday time is very tough on dieters (well…..alright….it’s tough on EVERYONE!). Once all the tempting delectable delights of the season are DONE WITH, you can settle back into your routine and move along with the weight loss AND feeling perkier! I know you can do it – we ALL know you can do it!

    Love, Pam

Thank you my sweet friend! I am definitely hanging in there with trying to lose weight, giving plasma and trying to get through the holidays. The week after Christmas though, I will be ready and go for settling down. And in a way, I can’t wait. ❤ June

Thanks my friend. I am trying to do moderation and really still watching what I’m eating. I will definitely hit it harder once these holidays are behind us… and hopefully not on my behind! LOL ❤ June

For me it’s about avoiding sugar and things that create sugar more than losing actual pounds, although that would be a plus. Sugar is a drug we can all do without, and the holidays are snowed in with it.

That is so very true!! I never really realized until seeing some recipes how much sugar is in everything – OMG – no wonder we are in such a dilemma these days with weight. ❤ June

aaww thanks my sweet friend – you are too!! Congrats to you. It’s hard over the holidays – you have to ‘live’ and you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings for not trying something they made. We will all get there and buckle down at the first for sure! ❤ June

I think the number one life lesson is “be kind to yourself” we are all born with self love but sometimes somewhere along the way we are robbed if it. Time to reclaim it . 🎄❤

Perfectly stated my sweet friend. That indeed is what we need to learn to do. Thanks ((HUGS)) ❤ June
